Thanks 99 I'm not keeping track of my hours but I hope I'll be around 60hrs.

Yes I agree. We eat expensive food why give your furry family member cheap s#!t. About 4 years ago the dogs started eating a mixed raw meat diet. She would have died at 10 if we hadn't.

Sad to hear about your dog. Where did you get your steering column from? Can't find any in my area.

Thanks Sid. I got it from my neighbor he was scraping a '80's GM van motor home. brake peddle and master came from it as well. I believe any '80's-'90's GM van column would work. If you cant find one let me know and I will check around here.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

I'm looking for column that has no key but has tilt and gear indicator on it. I hear a mid 70's to mid 80's gm van works well.

I bet she had a great life with you!

@ Farmersid, I have a mid 70's Tilt from a Chevy Van, works great. Only had to shorten it. Do not know the length for an AD truck...

Re: My 52 GMC Build

That's a bummer about Shooter. I had a Boxer a few years ago... my boy Ryno. He was a bundle or energy. Too much sometimes! Whenever I took him for a walk in the evening, I'd stop at my kids' school and let him off the leash. He'd run full tilt three or four lengths of the soccer field, then just casually walk back over to have me put the leash back on. If we walked or drove past a Tim Horton's, he'd start drooling like crazy! The drive-thru girls always gave him a Timbit. Unfortunately, all the Timbits he ate probably didn't do him much good. He died before his 7th birthday from Pancreatic Cancer.

You sure miss them when they're gone.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

Your heater reminded me of the awesome gas heaters they put in VW's in the 60-70's. I had one, and it just blasted out the heat. I figured something like that would be cool for your truck... then it dawned on me... no gas.

Sorry to hear about Shooter! My wife has a corgie that is about the same age, and is going down hill slowly too. Our husky, which is less than a year old, drives her nuts. That's probably what is keeping the corgie going. Haha

Thanks John. Boxers are great funny dogs. She had spirts of energy from time to time and she was completely deaf. They both love timbits as well.

Thanks Diesel. Our frenchie from time to time would go after Shooters feet, really funny to watch. Having a younger dog with an older one is probably good for them.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

More wiring today. Trying to get the circuits that I need to start the motor done. Glow plugs. Fuel solenoid, Fuel pump, Starter. I'm planning to start the motor this Saturday to check for leaks on: fuel, PS, Trans cooler before I go any further. It will be nice to hear it run again.
Also got the inter cooler to intake pipes put together.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

Saturday was a great day got enough permanent wiring done to start the motor.
First time putting diesel in the tank was a great feeling. Items tested: trans cooler, pb, ps, fuel lines and filters, glow plug harness. I found 2 small leaks but just loose fittings.
Also took short vid.
