I dont know why, but when I attach my pictures to this site, they're upside down. They're fine in my library. I tried turning my photos upside down, but no luck.

When I figure it out, I'll re-post.

The pickup cab floor is good. I know I'm destroying a good cab for the floor but I think it's better metal than the patch panels I see on line.

Any thoughts?
I bought a K5 carcass for a few hundred dollars the rear floor area. A day's work of cutting welds, removing carriage bolts and I had a factory floor for my medium Blue CST. Sold the Blazer carcass for what I bought it for originally = free rear floor for me. Plus the repop sheetmetal is never as thick as the original factory GM stuff. My two cents.

Helped my metal guy remove the front clip off my 72 Highlander. Getting rust repair to the lower "A" and "B" pillars, new torque boxes and outer rockers.

In the first pic above you catch a glimpse of the screw used to affix the fender seal bracket used for CST applications - same as that used for the glove box hinge to the dash w captured washer.

After my last post, I got an urge to upgrade my dash. Completed a Dakota Digital this afternoon with my son after the billet pedals and Holley carb upgrade from a few weeks ago.

I did the same thing to my wire harness clip. I was really amazed and how much the plastic dip shrunk when it dried. I had to dip them 2 or 3 times to match the OEM thickness.

These seem to be really close with only one dip - I got lucky with the stuff I found at Home Depot. I looked but couldn't find any similar reproduced clips so back to use for another several decades for these.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

Removed my 35x12.50x16.5 BFGs, front 8-lug Dana 44, removed 4-inch leafs, installed new original height springs from Michigan Springs, and pre-positioned 6-lug Dana 44 from another 72 Blazer under front of truck. It was hot as hell so attaching the replacement axle will have to wait a bit.

Big time. I've been dreading this for a year, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

Wasn't today , but I got my Heartthrob Exhaust on last month and I got to enjoy the sound of it again Today. I don't even turn the stereo on anymore The right side pipe runs higher to the Thrush chambered mufflers because it has to clear the t-case , but the tailpipes still come out even.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

Replaced the passenger door window regulator and glass. Had to disassemble just about the whole door to make it all work. Bought a new piece of glass with the metal channel already installed and it works great. All the old stuff was rusty and the regulator would not move at all.
Now it works all nice and the window is not all scratched up.

Bought a NOS tilt column indicator housing from truck stuff for sale. This is what they look like after block sanding and polish. This time i'm going to clear it or they end up looking like primer.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?

Finally started my rust replacement project. Bought a fine 67-8 pickup cab & chassis with good floorboards, etc. After discussion on this forum and seeing the cost of many parts this cab has that are good, I decided to cut the pieces out that'll work on my 72 Blazer.

Mounted a winch in the ceiling beams, pulled it off and am getting ready to start cutting.

I'll report and hope for advice as I go.

Deadhead, I welcome you to come see it anytime. I look forward to your input.
