Re: Project#2 67-72 Restoration's Shop truck
Not a lot honestly....
I got the front clip cleaned up where the a-arms were removed...and got parts needed ordered...most have now shown up....other than the lower a-arms.... I'll take pics of the parts I've gotten in...

Re: Project#2 67-72 Restoration's Shop truck
Woo hoo! Outta all those parts I like the adjusters best! Thats gonna make it waay easier to adjust toe! I've heard people say that they hold no performance gains but I have a hard believing that because they are solid. I picture the old "rolled" metal thingys flexing in turns and messing with the toe numbers. I know the truck isn't being built as a Corner Carver but it will be a DD and in my book an upgrade is an upgrade no matter how little it is.

I am waiting now for the lower a-arms....once I get those we'll get the front suspension back together and then the front clip can go on. Once that goes on we can put the battery in and hook up all the wiring and fire up the engine.

The lowers will be cupped to allow the bags to sit lower in them. I could make a set but I bought a set for a good deal (so I thought) but it's taken forever to get them....

Not to mention the stitching is wavy. Last edited by Xeen; 11-07-2012 at 10:32 PM. |

Shouldn't have used black stitching either.... The rods are just in backwards on one side but they need to be redone anyways... Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Project#2 67-72 Restoration's Shop truck
The interesting thing is since the stitching is just in the edging it can be pulled and replaced new and stitched back up with Brown thread.
So yeah just take it back to him and tell him you need it to be right. |
