Re: What did you do to your truck today?
No turning back now! Cut out the lower 2/3 of the original dash and began fitting the stretched Camaro Dash.
Working out pretty well thus far.... more pic's on page 3 of my build thread. |

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Believe me I walked around a bit questioning my sanity before I took the cutoff wheel to the original dash.
Since the original dash had been butchered by the previous owner in the radio area and in the glove box area I only felt a little hackers remorse. I'd love to know the history of my truck.... the interior had been painted lime green at one point! Last edited by lakeroadster; 01-02-2010 at 09:47 AM. |

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
well , its cold even in florida today but...I installed my interior vents and my horn . doesn't sound like much but I also dug thru the boxes on my shelf and found some missing parts tried to mock up my e-brake and its not gonna work had to remove the cross member that has the levers attached to it to install a different trans. cross member for the t-10 4spd. not sure what to do now .I have 5 mounts for eng. and trans. 2motor-2bellhousing - 1 trans.
what now????? guess I'll have to fab another part now, when will it stop?? Eric

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Another day of welding and grinding.. ref. stretched '67 Camaro dash that's going into my 65 (see signature for link). Spent the day fabricating brackets so the dash will be a true bolt in. Kind of a pain in the rump but this should make wiring and repairs easier in the future.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Once you finish up on the easy engineering and fabricating of the prototype, you’re just one step away from mass producing the bolt in kit for the rest of us with limited talent!
