Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds
I have already posted my truck at the beginning of this thread but i just took a new pic with my new cam so i thought i'd throw up a fresh pic before i park it for the winter and rip it apart again.

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds
Here are a few pics of my 87 after the paint. Not sure why my camera makes it look almost navy blue. It is just black. It originally had red, maroon, and silver pinstripe. I want to go back with a simple thin red stripe front to front. It is a daily driver.

Here is a couple of shots of my 1974 short fleet.
These were shot at the cruise in in Nashville last Saturday.

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds
"Specs on bed cover please?"
It is made by Gaylords. They are nice covers but very pricey! I am not real happy with the latching system they have and also i had it painted to match by them and the color is off a little. I am not too worried as the whole truck needs repainting but just thought i'd give a heads up. "Why do want to rip it apart? It looks great! " Thanks. I am redoing pretty much all the suspension. Also need to clean up alot of loose ends such as wheel well tubs etc. It looks good from a distance but needs quite a bit of work and paint to be a quality show truck.

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds
I'm still not through but I'll post some updated pics.
I know, I still need to lower the front and get wheels/tires, tubs & spray-in liner and install the sport mirrors and it should be done. Then it's on

Here's a photoshop I did to get an idea. I know it sucks but it was quick to just get a feel of what I possibly would like. And I'm sure the size of the wheels are not scaled accurately but it's suppose to be 18s and 20s.

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds
I wouldnt do 18's in the front with 20's on back... it would make the front look higher than it really is

That is a very clean and nice shorty!
The mirrors are the same i use on my longbed! They look nice but they donīt help much when backing up or trying to see anything in them!

BIGARMZZ,
Looks good! Too bad you got rid of it. Do you mind me asking how much it was dropped and what size wheels and tires were you ruinning? I'm 3/4 dropped and haven't purchased wheels and tires yet. Still have a ways to go for that. Thanx! 79shortwide Austin, tx. |

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 short beds
Looks like you need a new front air deflector. Check out a Keystone retailer. They got them for around $15 bucks. Nice truck by the way.
