We have the same mind set as I picked AAW and VHX for my Blazer... I did forgo the steering column for now due to cost. As of right now the goal to have the Blzaer finished is the end of March. Do you have a completion date in mind yet?

Sorry, the picture I posted it wasn't complete. I will post an updated picture. I have the brake master cylinder/booster mocked in now. I will need to pull it on and off so I can figure out where I'm going to mount the master cylinder for my clutch.

I totally understand about the cost thing, I guess that's why I'm on year 4 for my build lol. Today I recieved my AAW harness and I'm really happy with everything it came with. This will keep me busy for a bit. My goal is to be driving the truck by the end of summer. My gauges were back ordered 3-4 weeks since I ordered the new analog clock. PM me if you ever get in the Henderson area. Love to see your blazer...

This past weekend I mounted my clutch master cylinder to the firewall. It fit like a glove. I was able to mount it low enough so I can get plenty of stroke. I also started on my wiring harness. So far I am pleasesd with the wiring.

You are in the home stretch now. I know how long all those details take, especially the inside of the cab...I didn't think I'd ever get done with that. But eventually it all comes together.

I remember when I started on my harness. I installed the same one in my 1970 burn victim. It took a while because it was my first full harness to install but I was very pleased with the way it had enough wire so that I could hide everything.

What did you do with your exaughst tips? Mine are unfinished in the 1970 one owner truck and I keep debating on what I want to do. I am currently planning on turning them down at the corner of each fender.

Thanks Mike! You made the details look easy on your build. I can't believe how simple and clean this mastercylinder went in. It's almost like it could have been an option in 1967-72 the way it mounted and fit in the inside around the reinforcement on the firewall. I found a heim joint in my parts bin fron a sand rail I built years ago that fit perfect and is adjustable in length. I may just need to drill one hole in the clutch pedal arm

This is also my first full harness to install. With everyone's review on this forumn and the simplicity and quality is why I chose AAW.

I decided to have the tips turn down before the axle. My goal was to have exhaust not noticeable. Hopefully they don't sand blast the Ford guys behind me

Have you final welded the tips yet? If not, I'd recommend a slight turn toward the side. If you drive in a dusty area, you'll kick it up all over your truck and everyone around you. Ask me how I know....

Your engine bay is so clean. Exhaust looks nice also. I like the sound of magnaflows on ls engines

Thanks Keith... Like all of the reviews said there is extra length to the wires which you will need if you plan on hiding the harness and not running it in the factory locations. This would be a very easy harness to install in a stock truck (original engine/Trans & guages) Since I am hiding the wires and tying into the LS stand alone harness and aftermarket gauges it's going to be a little more challenging. I plan on taking my time and doing it right. AAW did an excellent job in marking the wires and adding extra length with excellent directions and schematics.

Thanks.... Good to see your back on your truck. I really like your new cross member and Porterbuit's stuff. After I enjoy my truck for a while I plan on ordering some of their suspension and going closer to the asphalt

I'm not sure if I missed it what kind of A/C unit are you going with, I seen you cut out the dash for the original A/C look.. Where'd you get the templates... Sorry for all the questions I'm getting ready to do a frame off resto myself, trying to do my homework before I start

I plan on using Vintage Air for my A/C. I found a hand drawn template on this forum. PM me your email address and I will send you the PDF. I was hesitant at first because someone hand drew the template but it worked perfect. Do not use a hole saw to make your cut. I used this small jig saw (see pic)
