Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
Looking good. I like the sub options, curious to see how it fits.

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
I hoping that these AN fittings and Nylon braided hoses do the trick. Sure will eliminate tube bending!

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
I'm in the process of buying some lowering shocks 4 in the back 2 in the front. I have a 67 C10 but I bought a 73-87 Performance Online DiscBrake Conversion Kit on it. I know the tie rods and ball joint were a little longer. Well my question is which shocks should I get 67-72 or 73-87. I'm totally confused. Do it even matter?

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
If you are using the 67' control arms and just installed 73'-87' spindles, you would use drop shocks for a 67'. I would install rear shock relocation brackets also.

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
On Feburuary 14, 2015 which was my 43rd birthday. I decided to try and start my motor. Well it didn't turn out well. Because of a small fuel leak that gather in one of those pockets in the intake and my motor timing off causing it to backfire. My truck caught on fire. Because my daughter was close I had to get her safe before proceeding to put the fire out. I can honestly say I was totally bummed out! Thought about giving up! Sorry for the side view!

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
By the time my wife made it home, I told her I was going to sell it. I was tired of pouring money in to this thing. I was tired of this thing fighting me. I intended for it to be done by now! My wife told me not to sell it and use the money I was going to redo our bathroom with. I told her no! I'm done! I sat there alone hands tender and slightly burned from putting out the fire, feeling sorry for myself. My buddy told me quit having a pitty party! He told me to take those panties off and put on my big boy britches on! If this was easy everyone would do it. He told me you never did anything like this before, you never had anyone spend time with you. You're a fighter! I imagined the devil sitting in corner laughing at me. I thanked God that no one was hurt and said I will NEVER be the devil's entertainment. My wife came back to the shop and asked me was I okay? I told her yea! I'll fix it. She looked at me and said there goes my husband!

I'm thankful that you and your beautiful daughter are alright! The devil may be in the corner laughing, but who was it that put him in the corner? God was with you when that happened because it could have been a lot worse.
Blessings! Mark

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
I can totally relate to the fire thing. Same exact thing happened on my first car build at engine starting time.... almost burned the whole garage down of my parents house, I was only 17! ---- You can probably imagine the grief I had from my whole family over that, but all in all THEIR unending moral support made me continue on with my ideas, dreams and love of this disease there is no cure for.... and I am 53 now and still building!
Carry on!

Woah! Talk about 'Back in Black'! Truly sorry to hear about the fire, but it looks like you found a way to turn it around into something even better - that engine looks GREAT! Obviously you are blessed with a great wife and friends to support you and keep you motivated. Can't wait to see it all finished up!
