I'm leaning this way myself. I had to see it so I did a quick photoshop. If you painted the lip of the wheel to match the champagne color it would be even better.

Good job DJ with the foto shop. I wondered the same thing about bringing the gold tone onto the barrel of the red wheel. Maybe in tone only, more subtle than an exact match? As for my opinion, I'll defer since I don't know if that was an implied request for opinions, since it wasn't stated as such.

I appreciate everyone input and the photoshop. I will announce what my choice is on Monday after Christmas. Meanwhile go to American Racings Instagram feed and follow them. They have a pic of Scarlett and an offer for a free shirt and hat for the first person to guess which wheel I will be running.

I like the directional wheel but not sure if it would look right on a square. I know the cost would be ridiculous but it would be nice if you could get directional wheels in both directions. It always annoyed me to see the passenger side turning backwards.

Countdown to Throwdown! Tonight I worked on installing the door panels we had previously restored. Chris had already located matching screws so I installed the belt line trim from Precision Replacement Parts. The new trim fits so much better than the flimsy pieces being replaced.

I reached for the shiny new door handle and gave it a pull. The smooth as silk action resulted in nothing. Apparently I knocked the rod off of the door handle mechanism and now I get to take the door panel off once more. Despite that, I still love the results of our interior rebuild.

Tonight was a lesson in frustration that ended in failure. I pulled the door panel and noted that the clip that hold the actuator rod on the door handle didn't get installed when the new handle went on. I had ordered the correct clips just forgot to install it. No big deal, just install the clip and reassembled the panel.
The panel fought me but I got it on and the handle worked. I rolled the window up and it jumped from its track. WTF? I rolled it up and down several times last night and it was super smooth. I pulled everything apart and can not determine whats wrong. I spent 2 hours trying to analyze what's wrong and I'm perplexed. I decided to call it a night and look at it tomorrow.

Sounds like a worn roller, letting it jump out of the track or the regulator might have gotten slightly bent or twisted. You might also check to see if the ends of the slide where the roller is located because I have seen the crimped ends get pushed out, letting the roller slide right out the end....just a thought.
One more place to check is the felt run channel that goes lower into the door...sometimes those get pulled out at the bottom and create all kinds of agravation.

If you have a caliper set or just a ruler, see if you can compare the size of the rollers....the front one may be worn just enough to jump out with the torque of the motor. If you haven't already done this, you could run the window up & down a few times with the door panel off and see if you can find anything out of the ordinary when the rollers move in the slides. I have seen too much grease on those nylon rollers be as bad as not enough...that grease has a real tendency of breaking down the nylon over the years.

Today I had to work on my wife's remodel project. She is converting my daughters room from teenage to married couples room. That means all new furniture and the powder blue had to go. I now know what color perfect taupe is.
With that done I went to the shop for some truck therapy. Since my power window predicament has me stumped for the moment I decided to focus on moving forward with the under hood transformation. Chris and I determined that ring to work over the bumper like last time was not good so I removed the grill and bumper. I masked the edges and plan to add some protection for the fender as they will stay on. Here's where I got before stopping to go wrap Christmas presents. Merry Christmas ya'll

I decided to diagnose the oil drip coming from the rear of the motor. I knew the oil pan gasket was seeping and suspected the rear main seal was too.
I also wanted to determine for I had a one or two piece rear seal. Research showed that passenger side dipstick should mean one piece and I verified that to be true. After removing the transmission dust cover I noted what was oily and what wasn't. The center of the flywheel was dry and dusty telling me the leak was coming from another source. I feel comfortable that the oil pan is the source. Fortunately a pan gasket isn't hard to change on a C10. I also noted that the transmission had a date and initials stamped in it verifying that it had a fresh build and could see the torque converter was fresh too.

While waiting for the oil to drain I worked on the drivers side. I pulled the fender liner to gain access to the mess I need to clean up. I have some serious detail work ahead.
