Re: What did you do to your truck today!
after dropping the bb on last week i noticed that the springs I used were just not gonna work.
with only the engine and trans on the frame i had about a 1" travel before hitting the bumpstops. I guess i coulda trimmed the bumps but even bounceing on the frame they felt sloppy and I wouldve not been able to get the floor jack under it with anymore weight on it so today they came out and were replaced with the ece springs i had for the 4/6 kit,now i'm hopeing these will come down some with the weight of all the sheetmetal and other stuff. these feel alot more stiff when bounceing on the frame. check out the differnce between the springs the ece springs(center) just look beefy even compared too the oe's

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Well since my 69 is the only vehicle with a stick and my daughter is now 20 and has not ever had a chance to learn to drive a stick I took her out and let her drive it for about a hour.
I figure I will need a new clutch pretty soon anyway might as well let her take the abuse out on the old one..lol She left some nice black marks on our trip and I learned not to put my fingers on the back of the seat while shes trying to take off... Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
since the frame is almost completed and i had some helping hands around today we swapped spots with the cab and frame. I finally get too work on the cab. I got the front cab supports off for a start.
I cant wait to get the cab and frame joined back together.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I drove it to work.... & think I may have a drive-line pinion angle issue... some vibration at 70.... in lockup..... more on that tomorrow....
On another note, I was also injected into a friendly & safe... i may add... stop light to stop light challenge with a new dodge pickup & ford f-250 after work.... Empty side street, 11:00pm at night and 3 trucks wide..... they had no idea that my old rust bucket could move so fast... Scott
