I love all the period correct accoutrements! That is what I am always on the look out to use with my truck.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II
Started varnishing my bed wood. After a year of working on the truck I am getting close to hitting the road again. I wish I had started a build thread.

Yeah, it's a project. The truck as is runs, stops (slowly), most things seem to work, frame is solid, engine has been replaced at some point, most body work is solid. It apparently had some sort of professional undercoat applied earlier in it's life. It is flaking off now, but the metal underneath looks 45 years younger. Has a little rust in the usual places, some unique electrical wiring, oozes fluids here and there, but overall a decent start. Initial plan is to get it safe and drive it, and plan the next steps. |

The upper side molding on my truck does have the black strip, although with 50 years of age on it. I wonder: since Mar-K makes these moldings new with the black strip, would they be willing to make a set without the strip? |

Engine out.....drum brake front end down. Got some clean up accomplished and some rust conversion sprayed. The last cross member bolt......the LAST one.....broke on me....lol. Pry bar and gravity and she dropped. Found the coil to still be original GM as well.
