Re: my '64 c-10 swb project with steel floor from a '70
this is the bracket I bent up to mount the trans dipstick off the firewall enough to fill it and be able to use it to! I also had to grind the oil dipstick down a lil to fit, got it installed too! also got my fuel pump installed! I did a lil work on the truck sunday I started to strip my driver door down then stopped when I found a lot of bondo! So I stopped and I think i'm going to look for another driver door, its going to be to much work to try and fix, I forgot to take a pic of the door and the oil dipstick installed!

Dude!
The motor is lookin sweet! I'm sure that you can hardly wait to hear it purrrrrr! I know how anxious that I am to hear mine fire-up, and it makes me crazy with anticipation!...So I feel your pain! It is really hard to stay focused on other items with a fresh motor staring you in the face!!!...Also why I stored mine in a separate area, because I was gettin side-tracked when doing bodywork Keep on it!

Re: my '64 c-10 swb project with steel floor from a '70
ok, here are my doors! the passenger door can be fixed pretty easy I think compared to the drivers door! lower patch and a lil hammer and dolly work to the passenger side, the driver side will take a whole skin ( got one from a forum member awhile back) nobby I think was the member! i'm starting to think everyone in the 80's bondo everything, lol!! anyways heres the doors and a pic of the patch to fix the passenger side!
first set of pics are the driver side door

thanks T.J., the 'WOW' factor on the motor was what I was going for! I seen a couple people doing the c50/60 grille, but I still have my aluminum grille that don't have any dents too! so that leaves me three options for the grille, kind of like what ever mood I'm in!!

Chad you achieved your goal! You wanted the motor to have the "Wow factor" You got it! Every time I stop by to check up on you I always scroll back to see what I've missed and I see that motor...Dang, is that thing sweet! I always liked the look of the shotgun scoop and your mix of colors just looks killer. I too am anxiously awaiting the day she comes to life.Keep on keepin on and you'll get there!

Re: my '64 c-10 swb project with steel floor from a '70
i'm debating on stripping the hood tomorrow or doing raptor liner in the bed, this next weekend will be to cold to do any painting or the raptor liner! the bed floor needs a lil work before doing the bed liner! looks like someone just throw stuff in the back and dented it up! we will see, I might just strip the hood and start fixing dents in the bed floor

Re: my '64 c-10 swb project with steel floor from a '70
got most of the hood stripped down to bare metal then sprayed etching primer on it, I got a small section left to do! I also got the grille support panel stripped and sprayed with etching primer! lil by lil, but progress is progress!!
looks like rain here next weekend not sure what i'll get done if it rains! I wanted to spray the raptor liner in the bed, but I found a few dents in the hood that needed to be fixed! so I didn't get around to doing the bed this weekend heres some pics for ya!! everything that green has been stripped down and coated with green etching primer

as far as the motor goes I need: spark plugs, thermostat, oil and filter, antifreeze, battery, fuel filter! just to hear it run without the wiring harness in it, yet!! i'm hoping by the end of the month I will hear it run
