I understand the honey do part. I think. What the heck does the 2nd sentence mean?

It has nothing to do with trucks. It is a 8 inch band of stuco. It breaks up the the top from the bottom on my home. It s common here in Florids. and thanks for looking at my build.

Re: 1968

Well, I almost finshed the cab floor today. I still got a small repair on the kick panel about 6 to 8 inches. I did finsh the step for the bed though it came out real nice. There was a small place where it bolts to the side wall that was a little rusty. I replaced it with new metal. I did not want it to give when I use the step.

Re: 1968

Today I worked on the other side of the step bed walls. Had a few dents on the top rail. Welded and grind and bondo and sand and bondo and sand toget it right. I wanted to get my replacement welded today. The fan went out on the welder. It did not happen. Looking like tomorrow I think.

I went to New Port Richie today. A 1 1/2 hour drive to Harbor Freight. Picked up another welder.
They did not even twitch in giving me a new one. So I bought a new 2 year replacement warrantee for only $ 11.77. Nothing like a little insurance.

Re: 1968

So got my new welder today. It rained here the biggest part of the day. So I thought to myself I might as well go to Harbor Frieght. When I got back, I started working on finshing the bed side, that I started the other day. I primed it and now it is ready for fine tuning on the body work. So guys if you are looking for parts I have posted a few in the parts section.

Re: 1968

Today I Did nothing on my truck. I started to run the brakes line, but got side tracted. I boxed up the pos traction rear end to ship to to Ill. After that I just done somemore of my honey do's. I painted the dog house. The problem with that is we don't have a dog. Just a dog house. I figured I might be in it before this project is over with.

Bahahahaa! That's funny right there!

Floor looks good... I can't wait to get some color on my cab, even if it is primer gray. :-)

Re: 1968

Today I welded the kick panel patch. Still need to grind some of the welds down and prime it. I got my drivers side door out of the cottage. I needed to weld some fine threaded nuts in side the door to recieve the bolts for the hinge. I remembered that only one has a nut so I needed to weld two more nuts. What a pain that was. But I did get it done and now I have a door mocked up to the cab. Looks great all my lines are good and the rocker can be welded tomorrow. Going to grind the welds on the kick panel at the same time as I do the rocker weldes.
Also tried my replacement welded today and it works like the old one. imagine that.
