Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread
sure let me give it a whirl for yah . so if i understand what you are saying correctly, is that the wheels are rubbing on the inside on the back with them on??? if that is correct, you will need some same bolt patter to same bolt pattern adapters to push them out far enough to not rub. this is what i had to do on mine, even though it has the wider 71-72 rear end under it. on the wheels i have the offset was wrong because they came off of a 99 suburban

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread
so the axle is to wide, or the center bore is bigger on the axle than the rims??? sorry im trying to understand what you are saying. are the wheels stock escalade wheels, or aftermarket wheels that were on an escalade??

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread
The center bore on axle is bigger then the wheel. They are factory optional wheels ,6 spoke like TT2s. Sorry I can't explain better thanks. Ron

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread
ahh ok i got it
in that case you have a few options.... you can either have the center bore on the wheel opened up to fit, or if you have the room you can run the spacer/adapter i was talking about a few posts up. you could also have the axle machined. or if its got long enough studs on the back, you could run just a small spacer to push them out just enough to clear the problem area. well mine is converted to 5 lug but..... the wheels on the front of mine i had to do something similar.... the center bore on the wheels on the front were to small, so i used an angle grinder to open the center bore a little hoping it would help, but it wasn't quite enough, so then i added a small spacer and presto.... perfect fit as for the back they fit no problem, they just sat in to far because of the offset of the wheels, so to fix that i used one of the same pattern to same patter wheel adapter spacers |

Re: The '67 Burb Build Thread
thanks, i made my buddy do it because i let him borrow my wheels to put on his bagged 70 caddy for a show a while back, and a photo shoot for his car clubs calendar last weekend or was it the weekend before last. anyways lol. and also because i don't have a mig welder . and nah no popper system setup yet, but i will later on down the road when the drivers door is shaved as well . there are some low spots do to a little to much heat, but that will get addressed when its body work time. but that wont be for a while as i want to get all the metal work done first.
