Re: crewcab joins the herd
Saw the crew cab At Carl Casper's custom auto show here in Louisville, KY last weekend. Anybody know if the new owner is on here? I talked to him for a minute... before I realized it was the famous "dino's old truck" lol. Awesome to see a truck of this caliber in my area.

Re: crewcab joins the herd
it looks like he tried to make it look 'worn' and failed; I think the other side was done better.. no offense :\
i like it the way Dino had it. lol

I saw it too and didn't realize it was the same truck until looking at it again in this post. One bad ride.

Re: crewcab joins the herd
I think that this is one of the coolest crew cabs Ive seen. It looks to me that the rear fenders have been moved forward some...or is just me? Looks like the steps have been removed? Or did they come this way? Its a cool old truck though.

Re: crewcab joins the herd
that was the way that the coach builder put it together to more than likely make it fit a std wheelbase. wonder whether it was a 1ton chassis

Re: crewcab joins the herd
Not sure, that could account for it. I like the truck, just think it would look better with the rear fenders displaced a little better. I would center them up more or put more like the 60-66 rears with the bumper wrapping around the rear fender. The problem with that is the wheel wont be centered in the fender. Cant win them all i guess

He also owns my old white 63 suburban, which hes since bagged. My guess on changing exterior was just to make it his own. Everyone on the planet knows it as Dino's crewcab.....

Re: crewcab joins the herd
I am on here. The paint was actually done by a shop in Florida before I got it. I probably wouldnt have picked that color, but I believe I like it better than the lime green. Got all the wiring replaced, signals working, wipers working, all new weatherstripping installed and ready to go. Now on to putting in a bed floor.

Re: crewcab joins the herd
This is the build Id like to do. Crew cab w/spare tire fender. It looks like it has a GM hood & grill. Im also interested in finding some info on the windshield visor for the 60-63 if anyone has any info on them.

Re: crewcab joins the herd
Yeah I thought so too. I know its not a 60-66, but was rare enough that I wanted to share it with the rest of the board.
