Re: SPID Picture thread?
Here is mine for what it is worth. Maybe using different colored lights will bring out the letters & numbers? The only thing I know for sure was a Radio delete no holes for the mount & no inside rear view mirror and it was Lt. Blue w/ white top/roof.

72 k10
Unsure about when the others were added. Has a CST badge on the glovebox and cheyenne super emblems on the fenders. Pretty sure it should be a Custom Deluxe. Weren't the CTS package last offered in 1970 with the cheyenne super package replacing it? |

Nice options on your 72 K10 lwb! You are correct it is a factory Custom Deluxe and should have ONLY "CUSTOM/10", "DELUXE" AND "8 350" fender badges. The glove box door should not have any emblem at all. The SPID has been clearly and incorrctly altered by adding lines for Tinted Glass, CST and A/C options it was not built with. Unrelated but yes the CST trim package was offered from 67-70 and became, in 71, the Cheyenne trim.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
That is great choice for a seat cover with your interior colors. Did you spray the door panels or were they originally black. Rally wheels were never an option on the 67-72 trucks, they were first available on the 73/87 trucks but I'm not sure exactly what year they became available.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Shortie; I see you have U18 KILO SPEEDOMETER on the SPID. Did you find a real kilo speedo or have you made one by yourself? Would you mind post a pic of it? Just curious.
I have been thinking of doing a custom SPID for my truck as well with the U18 option and some other not original options. Thanks

Re: SPID Picture thread?
This truck was for sale near a California military base. It was factory stamped COPO with some letters and numbers at the bottom of the VIN plate.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Here's my driver. Surprised to see the glove box door is dark blue when the rest of the interior is medium. But I'm no expert on paint schemes. At least some of the interior was "repainted" medium blue, and rather poorly.
558 is a great paint scheme, though they repainted this truck medium blue and white between the belts. The license plate was a fluke. Odds it would read "- 400" when they print these with letters and numbers? She didn't want to be just a parts truck

Re: SPID Picture thread?
My 67 lwb. I find the combo interesting in that it's Panoramic cab, has side trim but the grill and front bumper are white and the wing windows are black. Most Panoramic cabs or those with side trim seem to have chrome grill, front bumper and wing windows.
I like trying to put myself in the original owners shoes picking out the options to figure out what they were thinking. . "Well she's gonna work so give me the HD Spring, HD clutch, step bumper and RV Jr mirrors. Foam seat and Delux Air Heat sounds comfy." You'd think this where the guy needing a basic workhorse would've stopped checking boxes. But the boxes for side trim and panoramic cab got checked too. I wonder if he wanted a little extra style, had a little extra to spend or just got talked into checking those boxes by the salesman and/or wife?!?! Last edited by Overdriven; 02-02-2017 at 09:53 PM.
