Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

chemical dip is exremely iniromently unfriendly most people working the stuff dont live long
it is better for the metal though and leaves the protective zinkoxide on the surface (sanding and blasting takes it of ), it allso leaves a resideu on the metal and in the holow spaces holes need to be drilled intoo them to get the liquid to draw out after the dip
those holow spaces will be stripped but theres no posibility to get paint in there again , theres also a chance of the resideu contaminating the new paintjob

i complete 2 of the trucks intoo running fashion one custom and one basicly stock the thirth will be sacrificed for parts

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

I dont get to work on it on the weekends, and i dont get to go work on it again until tomorrow night (when its at someone's shop you have to ask every night if i can come work on it after work , i dont get off work until 6 so every time he lets me come out and use his shop it is greatly appreciated ) , think i am going to work on my front inner fenders some more.... I keep getting burnt out on them, stop take a break and start again!!!

It all looks nice, Mike! Definitely don't pay any attention to my door gaps when you get to see it. Yours are probably way better than stock! Heck, they may rival modern new vehicles. Keep it up!!!

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

Those gaps look good! Way better than factory new vehicles. After body work hell they'll look great. You plan on driving it a lot or just a weekend cruiser?

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

if you notice Gary the body guy has taken out most of the flare on the front at the bottom by the core support on the drivers side, still havent got to take the flare out of the passenger side one, i think it looks alot better gone !!
