Thanks Chris. You are right about the nice day. Couldn't take Homer out of the neighborhood yet as he has no taillights, license plates, or insurance. Need to get on those, but kinda waiting to send the Chevelle on to greener pastures. Soon.

A.D. Thanks Man, it is kinda surreal when I think back on it. Was a busy hot summer for sure. Getting too old for this. Gotta slow down soon.

Just finally got finished on my Chevelle and sold it last week. Started pecking away on Homer putting on the front grill trim and odd bits. Actually have him on a trailer now going to the nostalgia drag races/car show this morning. He's not a trailer queen by any means, I just don't trust him yet. I have never driven him more that a couple times around the block in my sub-division. Not to mention he has no working brake lights and stuff. I know he's not finished, but I really wanted to take him out there so I figured close enough to go. I think people (truck guys) are gonna dig him.

Thanks. Yeah he's finally moving forward again.
Thinking about selling him and doing something else for more of a daily driver.

You guys take it easy on my on the selling part. It's a flaw in my character. Not even finished yet and ready to move on.

Oh yeah. I have two "next ones". The 63 I want to take my time on and do an over the top build on. The 72 El Camino I just drug home Friday will be a quick driver project, but I will post progress in the "alternate tinkerings" thread.
Of course I am also wanting to finish my 67 Nova drag car. Too many projects, not enough time/money.

I understand. . sort of.... the build and flip thing.. that's just not me though.
I like to build them and enjoy them for an extended period of time.
That's me..
Your 63 is what I'm anxious to see.. hopefully you'll hang on to that one for a long while.. I'd love to do some shows with you in my 63..
I really need to get by there for a visit. . Working 60+ hours a week and at home too has me forgetting what day it is..
Stop by if you get a chance.. :-)

Well, now's your chance. Homer is posted in the Phoenix Craig's. Type "1 Ton" & you'll see old Homer looking for his new home. I didn't v post it on this board as so many guys want to rip into anything for sale costing more than they paid.

Re: Meet Homer

I hope you get what you are asking for it. Homer turned out real nice! You have vision. I have to admit, when you started the build I admired your work but had doubts about the way it would turn out. Now that you are done with it, I think it looks perfect!
