What do cupped lca's do? What is the advantage as opposed to just using a plate and mounting them?

They allow you to run more air in your bags at ride height or dump the air out for a lower ride since the bag is sitting around 3" lower than if it is installed on a plate or with a raised cup sitting in the spring pocket

Yes, it's all mounted. I had to dimple the frame for the ps box to fit against it. 67 frames are the only year w/out that dimple....also had to trim a small piece off the mount for the rad mount. On the pump, it's just the wrong style outlet tube for the low pressure return line....waiting on the correct pump to come in....

They are nice for sure! I've used them on another build and plan to on proj #1 also....plus, they are polished so they add some bling

Thanks, me too! Just need some other parts then the front end suspension can go back together and the front clip can go on

Re: Project#2 67-72 Restoration's Shop truck

Good news / Bad news. Good news is I got a great job offer and accepted. Bad news is I'll be traveling a lot so I am going to need a more reliable/fuel efficient daily driver.

So...I'll have to sell this truck. I'm going to finish it but I'm going to give the next owner the choice of springs or bags. Since I'm not finished and haven't run lines/etc for the bags yet....

Yes, still going to finish Proj#1. Looking at mid-late spring eta for that truck so the new owner can enjoy it for the summer.

Congrats on the job. I know that is an answered prayer. Will you still be doing kitchen design?

Re: Project#2 67-72 Restoration's Shop truck

Thanks guys. Yes, seems when you stop looking is when you find things. I was going full bore on the truck business but kept praying for the Lord's will. I got contacted by a recruiter asking me if I knew anyone looking for a position in the industry. I got the basic information and said...I just might be.

The company is Wellborn Cabinets which is one of the top Cabinet companies and the largest family owned cabinet manufacturer in the World. Their core principles are based on Christian principles and their record of on time/correct delivery and quality control is by far the best in the industry.

The pay is excellent so hopefully once I get caught up on the bills and get some savings I will be able to buy another truck for me to enjoy...until then this truck will be finished when I get the time and sold to fund a newer commuter vehicle and then I will be bringing Project #1 into the garage to get going full bore on that project.

There will be some kitchen design as I help dealers with theirs or help design displays. Mainly it will be outside sales and training....Business development for those kitchen dealer accounts...that's really the part of the job I enjoy the most.

Re: Project#2 67-72 Restoration's Shop truck

Thanks everyone! Definitely a blessing. More travel than I originally expected but all things work out...

I've had some interest in this truck but no commitments...hoping to get time to get it back together soon so I can fire it up and take it for a shakedown cruise....I'm sure that'll help

Re: Project#2 67-72 Restoration's Shop truck

I've been watching this build, but had not posted yet.

Great to hear about your new job. I too had lost my job last year, and got lucky with a local company that is a leader in their industry and based on Christian values too. I was only off work for 15 weeks before landing my new job. Less stress and MUCH better work environment.

Congrats!

Great news on the job. Sounds like a very decent place to work. Values are something that suffers when $$ is involved. Glad to see there are companies out there that see the real picture!
