Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10
spent what little time I had this weekend working on some engine stuff. I rebuilt the old edelbrock carb, you can see here in these pics how bad it was. Look at all the rust in the bottom of the float bowls!

Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10
Nice job. Had the carb been sitting or is that from the crappy Ethanol gas we are forced to buy nowadays??

Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10
lol yeah!
When I bought the truck it had been sitting quite some time. I got it running and it seemed fine but recently I have been able to drive the truck a lot and noticed when I kicked in the secondaries the truck would fall on its face and not to mention its always been hard to start (first start of the day). I'd have to crank on it for two or three minutes to even get it to hit. The truck didn't have any type of fuel filter on it when I got it and I did run it without it myself when I first got it running. But I put one on it the next day. I think its because of it sitting and theres probably rust in the tank, I'm gonna look into a new tank this week too. Then all the fuel system will be new!
