Re: Hazel the older Sister....
LMK what you want to imitate.......some of the stuff I've done more than once and I might could save you some grief.....translation: I usually have to do it more than once to get it to work!

Re: Hazel the older Sister....
well for one , the breather idea for my stock valve covers (i had drilled the top of my valve covers for breather holes, and hated the way that looked) ,and the way you routed the brake lines .... i could go on for days

Re: Hazel the older Sister....
did you just weld a bung into the back of the valve covers ?? i am running a TBI set up and my intake doesnt have a blank spot for the filler neck do you think i can drill it anyway for a filler neck or do you have any other idea for a filler for me, i thought about maybe going into the side of the valve cover with some kind of filler (on the intake side), any ideas ??

Re: Hazel the older Sister....
No progress pictures (camera was in use) but I did get a little bit done. I finished running the heater hoses through the cut down heater case and prepped the inside of the fenders and a bunch of other parts for paint that I have been putting off. I'm going to try and get all that done next weekend, oh and I also stripped down my car trailer so I could get some color on it....but that doesn't really count!

Re: Hazel the older Sister....
It depends on what you consider "attention" I work on Hazel and drive the StepSide every chance I get... The real problem begins when I get Hazel done, I'll have three finished drivers in the garage and I will have to pick which one to drive.....

Re: Hazel the older Sister....
I wiped out the thread on the 50th after I sold off the project. I have sold all my cars except the Rambler so that leaves me with my 67 SWB, my sons 71 Stepside, 64 Rambler and my 84 SWB that my dad bought new. I plan on starting on it after Hazel is finished.

Re: Hazel the older Sister....
Angle back.....I'm now going to try something different because I have over 15 hours in one manifold and I still don't like the way it looks..

Re: Hazel the older Sister....
I got a little work done this week since the boss man gave me an extra day or two off. I finished up the air box thingy I made and got it painted. I finally ran the heater hoses through the cut down heater box (I should have shaved the firewall and been done with it) so I painted it while I was squirting flat black. Nathan sent me his new hinges so I got those painted and installed. I spent the last two days painting so now I can bolt some stuff back on. I still need to undercoat the lower firewall but this is the first time the fenders and the inner fenders have been on the truck in a long time and they are not coming off. I stood and looked at the inner fenders for about an hour and realized I really don't like them and I should have not been so lazy and made a nicer set but it's just a patina driver and it will have to do....board member elz (Jarod) hooked me up with a better set of script covers so I body worked and got those in primer after the big meal yesterday......I should have those painted next week, thanks again Jarod!
