ha ha a Frunk? the wife and I joked about that, how I should mount the batteries under the bed and leave the engine bay completely empty and pull up to car shows like that and pop the hood

The two motors in the original vehicle were working in conjunction? Or on and off at different times? LS motors have a fan relay in the Computer that turns the fans on and off as needed if the motor is working harder. Sometimes only one is working while other times both are working. Is the two motor transmission using the second motor as it needs it but in your arraignment locking them together will any computer reprogramming be necessary?

no MG1 works as a starter to crank the engine over when staring and then acts as an alternator, there is no traditional starter on the Lexus GS450h, the larger MG2 drives the output shaft, I'll link to an animation gif when I'll get the chance

Wow that is cool, Alternator and starter in one. I have heard that the giant (three story tall) quarry dump trucks use electric motors for breaking.

I bet, well unfortunately Robert the trans jack adapter sucks big time, it is wrong in so many ways, it is way too tall, and the plate is not long enough (trans falls off of it)

with the truck almost one foot off the ground on blocks, I still could not roll the trans on the jack under it, so here I am literally hoisting up the trans with an engine crane just so I can set it on that stupid jack with the trans adapter on it, PIA PIA major PIA

RECOMMENDATION: Do NOT Buy!

I always us a motorcycle jack with blocks of wood under the trans. If its not high enough, I add more blocks while under the truck. I usually have to jack up the truck to get the trans slid under too.

10/10 would not recommend for safety reasons. But I still do it.....

so what are the odds one of my existing trans crossmembers will work (couple more on the floor not shown)

having eliminated the original crossmember that held the Turbo TH350 transomatic in place in the first place, I moved on to one with some drop, using rubber feets from my stock radiator core support (run what you brong!)

I'm going with these Jeep like AMAZON motor mounts, figuring if they was strong enuff to hold an engine they ought to hold a transmission

now hang on to your comments as this is all just spit ballin' mock up, and that frame's got more twist and turns than you know it
