Larry, I just read over your build thread. You have come a long way man. Your truck is really looking great. If you are ever down Tennessee way, drop by and see Chad and me.

Good luck bud.

Re: 68 project

That looks gorgeous! What is the height drop you have it at? Also, are you still planning on doing the C-notch, or has that idea come and gone?

7" rear drop and definitely a c notch is going in, only have 2" of clearance from axle to frame with bed on it.

Re: 68 project

That's looking so good! I'm excited to see what it looks like once it settles with the motor weight and front end back on. And nice job on aligning the bed! I see a lot of trucks with misaligned beds.

Thanks Corey, misalignment drives me crazy, I can't handle it Hoping to have the motor and tranny back in and bolted down in about a month.

Same here. It's the first thing I notice on a truck if the bed is misaligned.

Think you'll make it to the first Kernersville cruise? I'm hoping to as well but I keep running into setbacks. We'll see.

Re: 68 project

I had that same track bar on my last truck. I had the huge diff cover too and it worked like a charm. I had to get a custom PB bar for Walter though due to the dropmembers.

Re: 68 project

That's a neat looking track bar. I may have to get me one of those. Does it adjust up at the stock mount end? And does it come with a spacer for the left trailing arm to match the bracket on the right side?

Yes, it adjusts at the top at the factory mounting point and yes it also comes with the left side spacer to even out the axle. I guess I just gained almost another 1/4"of drop

Re: 68 project

It was good to see you again today Larry, and thanks for the parts for my dad. The truck is looking awesome. Looks even better in person. Grade A work. I'm looking forward to seeing it complete (by June right ).

And Robert, it was nice meeting you as well. And thanks for the lenses! I will try to post up a pic of what my dad makes with the parts once he's done.
