Re: My 52 GMC Build

As of now I have gauges that as I can tell work and all my LED dash lights work.
I'm going to plug the block heater in tomorrow morning and fire the truck up. The only gauge that is not hooked up yet is boost.

Thanks. I think first test drive will be middle of April weather permitting. I have a 2 week holiday trip coming up in 2 weeks, so after that I should be able to pull it out of garage to the driveway for some testing.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

On Saturday my boys came out to the garage with me and they started the truck after a coin flip. I'm happy to say all the gauges work.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

Great work! Is that your radio below the dash with the pic of the GMC? Also, is the pyro/boost gauge a glow shift? I've considered getting one of their fuel pressure gauges but I know they have had big issues in the past with being bad.

Thanks Diesel. I will have tunes but no radio in this truck. That is my laptop I can program and adjust my transmition to do anything I want. Yes the pyro/boost is Glowshift I hope it will be ok, so far so good.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

Last night I finished up with clamping the intake tubes. I also drilled and taped for my boost gauge. I made up this clear plastic adapter to attach my beer tap handle to my shifter. While the shifter was out I mounted the switch for my line lock. I think I will start a collection of handles but love this one for now. It's from a small brewery about 2 hrs from me called Creemore Springs.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

Here is a pic of the screen of the editing software for my transmission. I can easily do anything I want. I can change shift points, make it manual shift, shift like a Cadillac or shift like a drag car. It also shows information on what the trans is doing across the bottom.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

I like the control you have with the trans. I'm doing my first automatic build for a guy and Im leaning toward 4l60 or whatever I can get my hands on. Was looking into stand alone controllers. The control factor is a no brainer, even at higher pricing.
