WOW! You are a lucky man, Tony! Your truck is enough to humble most and inspire all. Well done on your masterpiece.

Re: project (sweet pea)
Hey;
Is that A low spot on the door? Just kidding. Someone has to yank your chain a bit. Really though, it looks great! There is nothing like that feeling of seeing it with paint on it. Sort of like closure. The end of the dreaded body work. Are you going to color sand, or leave it be? Chris AKA; Prostreet 72 |

Re: project (sweet pea)
Low Spot...lol nah ...she is straight...lolNot to be cocky...But it does not need any sanding...Although i may do it just for that little extra pop....(I doubt I will) I hate wet sanding and buffing.........There is just one small piece of dirt on the cab....I will hit that when I do a final Detail And go from there........
Todays update....SWEET PEA IS HOME.....Took a lunch today which is a rarity...But one of our Roll Back drivers was at the shop and said lets load her up.... Here is a few pics to hopefully show the color better Last edited by bad6772; 01-12-2009 at 07:12 PM. |

Re: project (sweet pea)
Just a small update...Got the old doors stripped today, Clean and painted the regulators (black) and greased everything for smooth operations, Painted the latch mechanisms also. Going to go to the Hardware store tonight and get all new screws....Just waiting on some weather stripping i ordered, so hopefully i should be able to get the doors done....If the weather permits...Going to run my original glass.Just need to remove the tint...Plan on running the factory vents as well....Again just to need to remover the tint....cant wait to get this thing together.....

Re: project (sweet pea)
aren't there special formed nuts and bolts on the truck ?
might be an idea to have the original hardware cleaned and repassified , my guess is it will safe you a lot of trips to the hardwharestore . on the other hand you do live in the states so those treadstyle bolts are easely available

Re: project (sweet pea)
Just think, you'll be cruisin in style in the spring while I am working on mine instead of cruising But you've been through most of the hardest work already (unless you're going to rebuild the vent windows ) and just have the details to put it together and enjoy it.
