Good point, on the 1 ton. I didn’t even think of that but you’re right….1 tons aren’t even listed. I guess never mind then

It’s been a few years since I have gotten anything from them finished. The rear shackle flip on my K10 has a hammer finish as well but when the Burbs stuff appeared a few years ago they were all bare metal. Everything for Zoomad K5 was bare metal as well. I’m guessing it has been at least 3 years they started shipping stuff bare. Hell, I am okay with that. Just glad they are around to build goodies for our old rigs.

Oh, yeah! Springs!

Amen to that. I'm pretty excited to zip over some frost heaves once all the treasure is installed and see how this heavy pig handles. It'll be 2-3 more weeks on the springs.

Re: 1991 V3500 Project Heavy Hauler

hey Marcus,

When you added your auxilary trans cooler, do you remember which line at the radiator was the return? I put a cooler on mine today, I assumed the upper line is the return. But now I second guessing that assumption.

Hey Joe. That's how I plumbed mine. Pressure on the bottom return on top.

Thanks Marcus,

I wasn't seeing the cooling I expected, so I crawled under to check. Sure enough I had it connected backwards. The lower line is the return on mine.

Gosh I'm not sure who makes them. I assumed Alcan or Deaver but don't know who makes them for ORD. Will see what the box says.

Re: 1991 V3500 Project Heavy Hauler

Nope still waiting on the spring and getting a quick defrost trip in. If they haven't arrived when I get home later this week I'll start shaking some bushes. I'm excited to get this show on the road as well.

Re: 1991 V3500 Project Heavy Hauler

Hahaha no but that would be funny. They just slapped labels on the springs and dropped them in the mail. Imagine they have been cussed by many a mailman by now...

4" springs. 2.5" rear shackle and a 1" zero rate to get the axle centered.

Re: 1991 V3500 Project Heavy Hauler

Finally got cranking on the suspension this weekend. Power washed the truck off and started taking stuff apart. Goal is to replace the lifters, oil pump, fix the oil leak and install the suspension.

Big help to J-Rod for the help wrenching. Many hands make the springs light.

Steering block, sway bar disconnect, springs and driver's shock are on. Need one more u-bolt for the passenger side and a drill bit.
