heres my plates finally. i am looking for a set of black and yellow plates for it that are clear and when i find them im going to register them on the truck.

the picture doesnt show, but trying manuver in there was actually a tough job not to mention there were impatient cars behind me. usually i park away from the store or in more vacant spots of the parking lot but wasnt really able to do it that time.

I went and tightend up all the front suspension and torqued it down to specs. its been driving much better and handles better.

Well I've got the oil leak fixed so the engine is squared away the transmission has stokers leaking as well. Now I need to figure out what's causing my super slow brake fluid leak... It look as if the proportioning valve is no good. All the lines are on correctly and it seems that it's still leaking and it's messed up the paint on my inner fenderwell....

Hey Rick sorry to hear you are having problems with leaks.
Unscrew the lines between the master and the prop and check the seats on the hardware, its possible that you have a bad seat or some debris in there, but if not then check the ends of the lines themselves you might have a cracked line where its flared, take your time and really look close with a magnifying glass and use a flashlight if you have to. |

ive got a couple plans for the truck to help with shifting and my blower motor must have aquired a couple " squirrels" i turn the heater on and it starts screamin at me! it blows air fine its just screeching so i think maybe its not lubed up anymore... im gonna see if i can shoot it with a little PB blaster and see what that does for me.

i made a new vacuum line for the transmission. this line is much bigger so it will breat much better now. im going to try and make the back of the carbeurator split into to 2 lines so i can put the brake booster line and the transmission together there and the front port thats larger in the middle will stay for my PCV, the smaller port on the left will be for my vacuum advance, and the smaller port to the right will be for my vacuum canister for the AC. truck is doing really good now. i ofiicially deem it ready to go on the highway
ive got pictures from driving around and stuff but i cant post them yet when i get home i will. gonna try and make my engine bay look nicer.... someway somehow lol.

Hey Rick! Congats on getting it on the road! Reminds me of when I first got my ole '70 on the road. Some bugs to work out, but that's part of the fun. Oh and I vote red or black! Green just wouldn't go good with that red interior! Look like a. Christmas tree on whels going down the road!

Well didn't get the seat belt yesterday so hopefully today.
Yesterday I decided I didn't like how my mirrors were olive green.... They finally got there time to shine. So I took em off and scuffed the green and shot them with some nice metallic silver, they look kinda chromy when the sunlight hits them and my passenger side mirror arm was olive green as well so I sanded it down as well and painted it black. After that there were a couple lights that weren't working right... Dome light and the shift indicator light. So I pulled the carpet back a little bit and undid all the areas where I connected the wire, one of them was bad so I redid it and taped it all back up with electrical tape like the factory does and while I was there I shortened it so it runs right by the kick panel and not over on the floor under the carpet. Next up was the shift indicator light, the end on it was bad where it plugs into the fuse box so I redid the end and now it works all the time. Now about my speedometer.... Out of nowhere yesterday the thing starts working, then when I was driving home I got up to 60 mph and it just drops dead.... So I'm thinking that the little plastic gear that the speedometer cable goes into on the transmission doesn't have a nice square hole in it anymore probably has a oval or more circular whole which probably only catches for under 60 mph and not over... So I'll get a new gear and then find out of that does the trick.
