One more show with the top on............. Then off, can't wait! Funny how when you devote three and a half months on restoring the top, your not so quick to yank if off!

P.S. Entered my 1964 Impala in my first car show in 1994 called Fair Oaks Fiesta Days, now my son's first car show same show 20 years later.........

Re: How about some pics of 69-72 Blazers and Jimmys.

Hey there, just recently joined and love all the cool pics. Here's my '72. I just found some stock 15 x 8 steelies with hub caps and now I can get rid of those bias ply tractor tires and get some nice radials. Getting them powder coated now. Don't know what I'll do with the 16 x 6's that are on it now. Name: IMG_5504.jpg

I may be crazy because I am only 90% done (if there is such a thing as "done") with my 71 C10 and wound up buying this 72 Blazer. Its being shipped right now & already looking forward to taking the top off, hitting some mountain roads, dirt roads and having a back seat...

Re: How about some pics of 69-72 Blazers and Jimmys.

Hey y'all! I posted on the welcome forum, but thought I'd post here too if it's ok.

I'm Ron and I'm from just north of Ft. Worth, Texas.

I've always wanted a 1st gen Blazer, in particular a 1969 since that's what year I was born, but when I saw the 1st gen Jimmy I fell in love with the quad headlights. I finally bought a 1970 Jimmy this past April from a fella in Pittsburgh. It's got a lot of rust issues, but I don't think I got robbed.

Since I got my dream truck, I've been searching for anything I can find on 1st gen Blazers & Jimmys and found this site. I'm looking forward to getting tips and finding sheetmetal that won't break the bank.

Re: How about some pics of 69-72 Blazers and Jimmys.

Finally got my 15 x 8 steel wheels powder coated and some new shoes for Ol' Blue. Does anyone have any idea what the old stock 16 x 6 steel wheels are worth or where I could sell them on this site? I also have the dog dish hub caps too. thanks, Dave

Perusing this thread again, and I noticed that the pics of my Jimmy in my original post had become X's, so I thought I would try posting pics again.

Me and my brother standing in front of my Dads Blazer. Picture was taken back in the early 80's. My dad bought it new and sold it not to long after the picture was taken. Wish I could find it again.
