Maybe if the Holley pan works,... PBFAB could become an "authorized dealer" for them,...
and include them in a kit with the LS style Dropmember mounts.
Would this help resolve the issues of the various LS style oil pans?

Is there any clearance differences between the mild and and extreme dm and pan/rack? I'm planning on running the mild when funds allow but just about ready to pull the trigger on the Holley pan.

There is MUCH more room on the Mild variation. The truck pan's sump is a little too deep to where it hangs below the frame, but at the rack there is no issue.

Ive looked at the F body oil pan and the Holley oil pan. It seems that the Holley is 2 inches shorter in height. Is this helpful with the extreme drop member? Just curious, because the holley runs 350 and need to buy extra stuff versus the f body at 150 with everything.

Do me a favor and post up some links to the pans so I can look at them and make sure to give any info on "additional" items.

The F-body pan does require a new pick up tube, but the windage tray can be modified to work.

I may be wrong, but the F-body pan depth is only 5" per this diagram...

This is what I got on my Gen V from Jegs:

Chevrolet Performance#809-12495360
Oil Pan 1991-96 Big Block Chevy Gen V/Gen VI
4-Quart Sump Depth: 8.03"
Fits early model Chevelle/Camaro

I am in the process of finishing the motor. Once that is done then I will go on to doing the Porterbuilt DM. My goal is to lay frame and I am hoping this pan will work. Take care.

Here's what I am going to do.... Over the next several days I will put together a write up that shows which pans we recommend and what components will be needed for the conversion. This is something I have been working on for the site (just been waiting for our wholesale account to be approved so that we can sell the parts straight off our site).

Question about my Mild DM motor mounts...

I have the SBC mounts (new in packaging) but I'm contemplating putting the 468 out of Chubby into Walt. What mods are involved in going to BBC...or anyone interested in trading .
