You may have already checked it, but what about the u-joints in the driveshaft. Think maybe one of them is clanking on you?

It was hard to tell on the street with the rain and I won't be able to fire it up till I put the dash back in unless I cap the oil pressure line with something but when I get the wiper stuff fixed I'll check it out some more. I might swing up your way agian sincce you're the expert!

speaking of that i rode on the back frame of a big truck around the parking lot looking at the through shaft going through the front rear end to the rear rear to see if it was bent and it was.

Well, I've been reading through this thread with great interest, but when I got to this post, I just busted up laughing.

The guy on the scooter there is a friend of mine...He's a Canadian....used to live here in AZ, but lives in Gainesville, FL now, and he's a dyed in the wool chevy guy himself. He got this ridiculous scooter and had a hilarous pic taken of him on it....then another guy we know from the Nissan boards submitted it to Fark and he became a Fark.com cliche from one of their photoshop threads.

Hilarious.
