Here's a color variation on the Matchbox '75 Chevy Stepside. Purple.
Found at WalMart, yesterday.

Re: Die-cast 67-72
Here's another Johnny Lightning Chevy Truck to be watching out for. Cooters Tow Truck from the Dukes of Hazard series. It is in Wave 4. Scheduled for release in November '08.
There was also a mention of maybe a retooling and having a 67-72 version. The mention showed the second picture. I never saw either of these trucks on the show; never really watched it that much. I thought the tow truck was painted red/white/blue like the models you see on eBay.

Re: Die-cast 67-72
It would have been cool if they used the right truck. 60-66 are cool and I collect them, but the 69 would have been better!! WES

Re: Die-cast 67-72
I`ll pass on that one.Makes no sense to make a replica that`s not a replica. It`s like painting a Gremlin black, cut t-tops,red accent stripes, tailfins,a couple bat logos, and call it a Batmobile.
Ertl did the same things years ago in 1/64th.The made Cooter`s pickup(?) from a`73-up Stepside...but it was BROWN!! I see these and I just pass.Someone`s bidding them up,solely because it`s "Dukes of Hazzard",but not this guy.

Re: Die-cast 67-72
I won't get it because it's a Cooters replica or a Dukes. I'll get it because it's another version of the 64-65 Chevy pickup, which I also collect. I collect the 50s -80s. Not too many above 72, but a few. I like the Jada 57 Suburbans a lot. 99% Chevys, there might be one or two of the Dodge Lil Red Express in there.
I wish someone (preferrably Jada since they have screw on bases/chassis) would come out with a 67-72 Suburban in 1:64 scale. Quote:

Re: Die-cast 67-72
Cool!
I wish they`d make a replica of the orange or blue Sport models that had the white graphic stripes.I forget exactly what they were called.Maybe just "Sport" model.

Re: Die-cast 67-72
A tip for close ups, get back a little ways and zoom in. You can also just use the photo cropper once you have the pic taken. With the newer high mega pixel cameras, they are still pretty sharp pics.

Re: Die-cast 67-72
Sounds good,Wes.Here`s a way to use up a little touch-up paint left over...strip,wash,prime,shoot white, mask, and lay on the blur:
