Here it is 5 days after purchasing it, inbetween working 50 hour weeks and having Family from sanDiego here over the weekend. I have to get the "stuff that looks good" done so I can keep the steam rolling!

Re: Show us your projects

Trucks look great guys, keep the pics coming!

I got my rear bumper on my 49, finished up my hood with one last primer coat and wet sand. Masked off some flames since I got a blue one shade different to avoid needing it to be perfect... Should be cool and ready for clear by the weekend.

Pics soon

Original plans were for a Blown Pro Street look, but since so many years have passed I'm now shooting for smoothed, billet wheels and more a street rod look with probably an LS1 based engine.

Combination of 1955 and 1959 parts .. but will end up a 1955

Cab is pretty near to done, rounded door corners

Shaved Firewall

Doors shaved with reversed latches

Shaved Dash

Shaved Drip Rails

Hopes is to have something along these lines (pictures I found), air suspension, billet wheels, smoothed out.

im going for about the same thing with my 56....let me know if you have any old parts laying around for sale...chances are they are better than whats on my 56 now

Re: Show us your projects

Truck looks like an awesome start! With some effort maybe only a few weeks away from looking like the one on the trailer!

Some pics of mine with flames in ghost style underway...

Bumper is temporarily held on with regular bolts, carriage bolts go in today along with blue that is one-two shades different for flames and hood.

Thanks, yeah so far it has been. Although she has been battling me the entire build with redo's from attempting so many mods, it really hasn't been all that bad. S10 chassis, Silverado engine/trans, drive by wire, etc. all considered.

Here are some pics of it in clear, ready for buff job.

Now just have to repair the left window regulator(stripped gears now) and get some exhaust on there and she can be put on the road!

12-30-12 UPDATE:
Well, exhaust is on, windows are all working and took it for a drive for the first time. All I know for sure is that the rear tires don't stand a chance! Need to carry some weight in the bed to have any prayer of getting traction, lol.

Now I just need to sort out a small misfire at idle and get a couple of the little things buttoned up, like oil pressure gauge being used with oil pressure sensor for ecm, tack not working, etc. Going to be put on the road next week after new years!

More pics soon!
