Thanks, came up with the same specs you did with 5 3/4" on inside of C channel. They are done and will be delivered to my work fri.
Noticed you are not using the 2 cross members in the middle of the frame. One mounts the e brake brackets, but identical. If you would like to part with those send me a PM.

Frame work is on hold, just moved to a new house last month, still trying to get the garage organized. Hope to make some good progress this fall!

Still using them for now with the old rails to make sure I get it all laid out square.

You should see Delmo in Burbank, he might have a few laying around. He's got a couple of TF frames under the knife right now.

I will be starting a build thread very soon. Starting with my 57 pu hot rod that I built 25 years ago and putting it on a 05 Silverado 4x4. About 50% done. Your frame rail set up will work perfect for my project and save me hacking up the original frame.

We are high and dry here finally, no damage to report other than some leaky flashing around the chimney!

A lot of areas around town did have a lot of water, I've never seen so much rain in my life!

Still nothing to report on the frame yet, been helping a buddy with his new 69 Camaro!!

im getting ready to cut a stock 57 frame, not sure what way am going. chuckDriver about what did you new frame rails cost you? it might be the best way to go if I get the porterbuilt kit.

Rails were made locally for $350.

Should be back to work on it very soon!!!

Just for the helluvit I'm going to ask about the Cameo bedsides. There are a pair out here being advertised on Craigslist for $1600 obo. The ad doesn't say if the tailgate or bumper cover is included. I've seen the ad for awhile now so I'm wondering what the going price is for the parts? Can you shed a little light? I'm not seriously considering changing my truck into a Cameo but I admit I'm kind of intrigued by the thought. My bed hasn't yet gone to the body shop but it's next. I know somebody (can't remember who) sells repop bumper covers and maybe tailgates... What about trim? That's a big deal on thes, isn't it?

The Cameo prices are all over the place, but I think $1600 for 2 bedsides is high! The trim prices are even higher because they are not being reproduced. There is a guy in MA that puts several Cameo pieces on ebay, seems he has been collecting them for a while.

Here's a link to a company that reproduces a lot of the parts, even the taillights and bumpers in fiberglass.

Well guys, time for a little update!

I was able to spend some time getting the garage better organized, built a 24x4 ft. shelf over the garage doors for lots of storage!

Got the frame uncovered finally and found a nice brown "patina", meaning surface rust on most of the frame and components.

After visiting with Nate Porter at his shop and talking about running coil-overs with the C notch he said I need to lower the notch by 2in. The guys running bags need 5in of clearance between the axle and notch, but with the coil-over set up only 3in is needed.

You can see where I removed a 2.75in section from each leg of the notch to get the 2in drop. Still need to trim a little more and square it all up before welding it solid to the frame rails and removing the rail between the legs.

Hope to pick up the pace and get some more work done soon. Thanks for hanging in there with me!!
