Re: What did you do to your truck today!

thanks to you, will verify the charge when engine is running ; battery is charged this morning, so I hope i can start my engine.
battery gauge (factory) doesn't work correctly ==> always good...

what is to say "Sounds like the alternator/regulator are not adjusted correctly" ?

The regulator and alternator need to work in sync with one another. The regulator can be adjusted to vary the amount of charge being produced. It's been a long time since I had to deal with one, so I would need a manual to see what the adjustments are.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

OK, I bought a regulator item 36-2520 at LMC store. it is not precised for which Ah it is. I thought it was a standard one, because it fits with electrical plugs.
i've any information regarding alternator. Perhaps it's a high Ah powered and the standard regulator does'nt work with.
So do I change the alternator to a standard like item 36-2760-Z (LMC store) ?

First I have to see if charge works or not.

Post Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Alternator testing is far easier than most think .

Did you place a volt meter across the battery terminals when it's running ? .

That's just one of many tests .

More if you but ask .

Played with the hood, played with the headliner (carpet from "Big Lots" ), and cleaned up the engine bay a little.

Me too.

Over the weekend I did use it to pick up some outdoor furniture. Took out the old seat cover because it had bad dandruff. It was so old, I didn't need anything to pull it apart.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I decided to redo the kick panels in black and finished the Air ride gauge/switch panel with ostrich and formed side panels to hide gauges and wiring. Also blasted the glove box door and hinges then powder coated.
I love this look better. Really finished the interior.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

On my tow truck I swapped the later plastic rectangle lights on the boom tower with 67-72 Stepside/Cab & Chassis tail lamps (round) and put a Y.O.M. license plate on it.
