Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I put a new tinted back window in, didn't go in as easy as I thought it would but with a hair dryer and some soapy water I massaged it in. A little time consuming but well worth it...Vernski

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Hi Vernski, truck is looking nice. Did you find any particular difficulties working with the chrome bead lock on your back window?

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Warming it up with the hair dryer helped the most although and extra set of hands would have helped to keep the bead lock straight as I worked it in. The heat helped take the dimple out of the corners in the seal where it makes a sharp turn. Other than that it was slow going in but no problem with a bead tool...Vernski

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Based on shape color and size, I'd say a resistor.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I moved in to this house around Thanksgiving and we'd been having trouble keeping our Newfoundland in the yard. Turns out he'd been climbing over these cinder blocks the PO decided didn't need to come out to complete the fence. I backed the pickup up to the corner, put the pallet on the rear bumper, then backed the truck back to wedge the pallet between the fence and tailgate. The dog hasn't gotten out since, even though he could easily jump the surrounding chain-link, he doesn't seem to realize it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Painted a fresh new white stripe between the chrome molding.
The old white was basically gone. Painted the top a few weeks ago. Next I'll be wet sanding the entire thing and clearing over the surface rust to slow it down a little. Plus I love the patina look Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Yeah, I hope he doesn't figure it out, I don't want to have to completely refence my yard, but I will have to do something about this space between the garage and the neighbor's fence when I get around to using my truck again

After two weeks of being taken apart I finished the mechanical fuel pressure gauge installation today returning the truck to service.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Mocked up license plate bracket, to find out that it must be lowered to keep it off the tailgate.
Also found a pin hole in my 3/4" heater hose, which is brand new, ugggh Finished routing the last wire for my front driving light cowling. I will get her outside soon and take a few more pic's. also started to organize my build data booklet, to help capture the important stuff. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
New(ish) hood is on and the now rewired parking lights work again, even though somehow we unplugged the horn (Buddy gets scared that I'll hit it when he’s under the hood) and we can’t figure out why it won’t work after plugging it back in... Getting the New(ish) passenger door sanded and wire wheeled for repair and paint. Maybe even figure out how to remove and install the old window guts from the old door to the New(ish) one...

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Well, I replaced the leaking 3/4" heater hose, with another new one! Also collected all the piece parts to lower the license plate. (Stand off's, carrage bolts, also bought a couple runner washers to keep my SS (homemade) stand offs from scratching the under side of my bumper).
I have ordered a Combat Infantrymans Badge license plate, so I am waiting on it to get here to finish this job! Posted via Mobile Device

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I am still plugging away my friends 66 BBW truck.
68 frame is under her, cab bolted down and tomorrow I finish front suspension, front brakes and front sheet metal. More if everything goes without a hitch. Photos will come as soon as I find my dang data cable....

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Made one heck of a deal on this:
$200 Big back window cab with decent doors, custom cab flags and both vent window assemblies work. It's a short wheel base frame that I don't need and I will be left with a driver's vent window and both door windows and regulators. All in all, after I scrap my bed, cab and doors and some other metal, I will be out about $50 or so. For a big back window cab, I think that rocks! Steven

Me too.
Great buy. Did it come with a title? That would make it an excellent buy! Posted via Mobile Device

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
No titles in Alabama on anything before 69. (it may be 70).
So, a bill of sale is all you need. I am going to use this VIN because I paid more for the first truck and it's been 2 years since I bought it and didn't license it. I wish I could trade the parts I have left for some wheels and or trim, but, I don't know of anyone local who would do it. Oh well, I may just ebay the extras. Steven

Do you attribute this nice find to luck or to clean and honest living?

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Starting mockup of the rear sway bar. I have ordered the splined bar and can mount the bushing brackets then.
