Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Took off the rear bumper and hitch. Removed exhaust manifolds and drilled out spot welds on replacement junkyard piece.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
My son (who is 9) and I tried bleeding the brakes. The fronts went easy but I am having trouble with the rears.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Pulled the front bumper to eliminate the fog light mounting holes and repair some blemishes in the 10 year old paint.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Replaced some horribly burnt out bad wiring. Im about to start choppin up the harness in the interior so I can further diagnose where this "leak" is occurring so I can stop the battery from being drained.

r3skyline,
Are you sure there isn't a blown diode in the alternator? I had it happen and it drained the battery every night. Steven

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
You know, I probably should get the alternator tested, but the thing is, the previous owners did some hack jobs and had custom tachs installed and the wiring seems to be a mess down there

Today I filled the fog light holes in mine and finished up with epoxy primer. Hopefully I'll get it sanded and painted tomorrow.

I have the next five days off from work and the National Street Rod Show is Fri/Sat and Sun. They are allowing cars and trucks up to 1982 now!!! the cutoff year used to be 1948. This years show should be huge!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Well getting there, too many things going on to get anything done...anyways tank area is done, setting up for rear sway bar install, I`ve looked at many threads, pics and webs devoted to sway bars....so it looks as if this install will be good to go, here`s a few pics with it tied into place.... final adjustment of end links will happen after I reinstall bed at ride height, I will also be changing rear springs to the Heavy Duty 4 inch drop springs from CPP. By the way anybody running CPP 4inch drop Heavy Duty rear springs..?

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Took my 65 back to the muffler shop and had a pair of All Star exhaust manifolds put on. What a difference from the "rams horns"... Moose is the man. Great job again. Thank you...

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Honestly, I took mine apart on a hunch and found it.
There should be an alternator/starter shop you can take it to. You could also go buy a new one, try it and see if it works. If not, take it back. If so, problem solved! Steven
