new parts showed up

Light weight day.

Switched out a crusty tilt column lever for a fresh one, fixed the amp meter, and installed a new water (engine) temp sensor.

All the gauges are up and running better than new now. Well, at least as *good* as new.

Thanks. No, I sprayed 3 coats of primer and 3 coats of gloss white Rustoleum. They turned out really nice. Even close up

Last sunday the lower ball joint side driver of my C10 69 was broken and was towed home I was lucky that happen 3 blocks of my house.
The reason I thing is the bad quality of the parts. About five years ago I swaped disc brakes from a C10 1980 and I had to change the lower ball joints and I paid about 10 bucks for each, now I paid 36 for a name brand MOOG. Since I did the swap I've moved my truck only 3000 miles. Now whenever I do something to my truck I'll take care of good parts.

just a thought here I expeirenced a wallerd out ball joint hole on a spindle once 3 times that sucker popped out on me all 3 times i replaced the ball joint thinking that was the problem till i finally decided to go all out and completly rebuild the sub frame with all new parts thats when i found the wallard hole and glad i did lucky me only one time it popped out on the road I crossed over some rr tracks doing about 25-30 mph and it popped and really screwed stuff up. once it happened backing out the driveway and once it happened at the strip heating up the tires(got lucky there)

needless to say i dont screw around with balljoints after all that.everything i build gets new moog's

Well the last few days I painted interior, layed down some fatmat, and worked on gauge bezel.

Walked out to it @ 04:30 , pumped the foot feed once and turned the key ~ it's been sitting for two weeks so it took a moment to light off and settle into a nice fast idle , then I drove it to work with 0 drama .

Where did you get your carpet kit?

floor carpet ==> Eckler's

Lucky guy : Colors are the same although the supplier is different !

tank carpet is equipped with plastic rushes which take place on the fold of the tank. so it's quite easy to put it on the high. after you have to tight the carpet to the bottom. it goes under the floor carpet.

the knob cover is delivered with the floor carpet (if you are talking about the cover of the headligths switch).

I agree..... I love it when I go out and and start my truck after sitting and it fires right up, yep 1 or 2 pumps and vrmmmm, what a great feeling and a great sound.
