Put her to work! That is my daughter, she helped me load up 1.5 cords this morning, add that to another cord and a half, should get me through the winter!

Wire wheeled, cleaned and painted the back half of the frame. Two days of dry time and assembly begins!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Oh besides getting diff parts ordered I made a deal for the engine I am building for my buddy's 56 Gm to trade even for a Copper paint job with ghost flames on my 71. Since all my body metal is new and straight it a good trade for both, won't be soon but will be goodbye to Satin black and flames.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

So my 12 bolt is drivin me mad, the open diff. trick with a Loc-rite is just to costly now and still weaker than an Auburn so bit the big one and ordered a Auburn posi unit, have the new bearing already, cash price $573, so that's that, next back to abuse time, haha, well maybe drive a bit nicer, wife will be mad now. But will get over it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Do you think my truck makes my rear end look fat ?? LMAO

Well this is not my first go round with building.. I myself hate the 12 bolt and found that not only is it costly to build the first time that when it breaks you could have bought a 9 inch and not be dinking around with the 12 bolt. Just my opinion I know tons of guys have them and will tell you how tough they are.. However there is just as many and more that can show you the broken parts and in the end a 9 inch was installed.

Being that you can buy them as a complete unit for bolt in today it only makes sense.. I run my stuff hard and once sheet metal is done the idea of a snapped axle walking out and tearing up my bed side .. makes me sick ..

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Got to see the grill I am getting for$50. It looks really good. One small ding and needs to be stripped.

I was in the Camry so I couldn't get it. Will pick it up next Saturday.

This is the first car I have had payments on in 14 years. No chances are being taken with the interior. LOL!

I couldn't get it to work. I just transfer stuff to photobucket and use their links.
