I don't know why and the brought it back after moving the fuel tank in the 70's. This seat will have to stay in my truck as I need to access the jack and fire extinguisher through the panels behind it.

Foam is in bad shape. Was told the covers are for full foam seats, I’ll have to do some digging. Thanks!

It was 60 degrees and sunny here so I drove my truck around all day.

Just about completed with a rebuild of my carburetor and cleanup. Getting close to startup - just waiting on a new kick down cable bracket and PVC and breather.

Got the herd out of their corrals then took the truck for a spin to the dump and gas station.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

Took the flatbed off then dropped it off at the body man. Starting with restoring the cab forward. I need to decide if I want to keep the flatbed or find a Fleetside again. Hard finding one in Mid-Missouri worth my time

That's a nifty truck bed lift you've got there Larry. Makes bed removal a one man operation.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

Got the big block in earlier this week and got the 4L80E in place yesterday. That was a little bit scary installing the 4L80E by myself with a floor jack but it's in. I stayed with the low hump even though I had bought a high hump for it. Have around 3/4" clearance at the top which I hope is enough not to bump. Hate to give up that cup holder I have bolted to the front bottom of the bench seat. Why do the pictures always turn sideways?
