Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Some pictures from this weekend. Finished the rust repair on the passenger side outer kick panel area. Also finished up my upper rear window channel. All the rust repair is finally done on this cab Now its time for some bodywork.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Started some bodywork on the firewall, welded up all the holes I won't be using and cleaned up the bottom firewall area and wiped a lite coat of filler over the area. I want it to look as smooth as possible.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Thanks, I didn't have much of a budget when I started this build but had big dreams for it Now I have a larger budget to put towards this truck and I'm able to do some of the things I have been wanting to do. Your truck is really really nice, I hope my paint and bodywork comes out half as good as yours.

Rushforth has some sweet wheels too. I like the Raceline Burst 5 a whole lot.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Take a look at the Budnik 'Chisel' wheel. I think they are really clean looking with the brushed center section. Do you have the wide or narrow rear housing?

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Well Guys I have Finally chosen a wheel. I placed my order with Boris on Monday. Ordered Billet Specialties Soft Lip Vintec Dish sizes 20x8.5 front with 5.25" BS and 20x10 rear with 5" BS. Planning on running Toyo Proxes STII 255/40/20 front & 295/40/20 rear. Wheels should be here by the end of the month. I can't wait.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Now I know some of you guys are going to read my last post and say how are you ever going to fit those wheels and tires under a bagged stepper without doing some major cutting and narrowing the rear. I don't plan on it at all. I woke up one day this past weekend and decided that this truck was not turning into what I had envisioned when I got it. So I'm going back to a fleetside. I tried talking myself into the stepper but i'm a fleetside guy at heart. Don't get me wrong I love Steppers especially bagged ones but I just love a clean Fleetside more. I didn't want to build this truck and then end up selling it cause it wasn't what I wanted. I have put way to much blood, sweat and tears into it. I have cancelled my order with Mar-K and will be selling the NOS Stepper fenders i have and the bed steps.
I can now breathe easy as I feel this build is back on track to where I want it to be
