Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
I was thinking ya'll as Joe and Megan, and I would send them my core when the other dash got back. They are a little closer, but I would like to get my dash pad and door panels covered. I have a firly nice dash pad in my truck, and a not so nice one with one of those crappy plastic covers in storage. The crack in my dash bothers me. Well, that and it is red. that's the other problem.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
We just got back from there, there are some 81 up cracked up ones but I didn't see any 80 back. We found a few things but all in all that place stays pretty picked over. Saw a guy that just finished pulling a near perfect windshield. Man, day late and dollar short.
So what happened on the Boss rims? deal fell through? too bad.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
Yep. It's stashed in my little room. It has one of those plastic covers on it, but I wasn't happy with it. I replaced it with a pretty nice dash, but that one has one crack. It's a little anal (especially for the way rest of the truck looks), but it always catches my eye when I am driving. I am in no hurry, though. Does she want to try door panels, too?

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
Dash looks awesome man. It defintely looks a lot better on here than in the text you sent me.
Sorry to hear about the wheels man. I know that had been a work in progress for a while, and then to have it end that way. The one in Valley Brook isn't a pull-a-part, but just a truck salvage yard. Just like Del City Pickup |

I've just been driving it Quote:
Yeah I was super bummed that it went that way. I really like the 338's on to more bad news..... My A/C compressor bit the dust so now I'm trying to figure out where to buy a new compressor. I can get a "New" one from O'rielly's for $180, or a "Reman" from Napa for $175....I'm thinking the "New" one is the way to go. As most of you know I don't care for O'Rielly's, but it is special order from AutoZone and $10 higher and a 15 mile drive to Advance Auto. So I guess I'll probably try O'Rielly's. I'm also planning on swapping my rear diff in the morning, before it gets too hot. I can't wait to drive it with the 3.73's

I'm liking that dash cover. Can't wait to see what else you've been working on. Been awful quiet lately. ;D

I was just wishing I had a recovery machine..... I'm in the process of pulling a vacuum on the truck with a new compressor as we speak

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
I bet the machine we have has already paid for itself. Not having to vend cars out for an AC charge is worth it in itself, but to be able to make a profit now with it, well that is what the game is all about right?
The heat has just zapped me today, literally. I need to mow, I need to get some stuff done on my truck, I need to do a few honeydos at the shop.... just not gonna happen today it seems. Shows 101.5 on my back porch, in the shade, 40% humidity. |
