Re: Senior Project Build
Nothing new to have pics of! Yet Here is my rough checklist of things to do:
-Pull Engine/Trans Install head tabs Install head gaskets Unbolt TH400 and have the tab that I broke off re-welded Drill new holes in the frame for the motor mounts -Figure out a way to mount the new 4 core double pass alum. radiator -Install FCG tank under the bed Rig up a bed floor fill cap Plumb new fuel lines Install Holley elec. fuel pump and regulator -Rewire Engine Get the MSD harness hooked up Starter hook up Gauges hooked up Keep working on cheap headers to make them fit -Plumb new 3 inch exhaust (the best part) That is just what comes to mind as I think about it, there might be more |

Re: Senior Project Build
Ahhh you caught me. I really want to finish it, and I have pretty much everything needed.........and your right, lots more than 11K invested. I just lost motivation, and am growing up and changing directions in my life. School, work, serious girlfriend, and new projects (VW, WR250X) are getting in the way. I would love to sell to a board member or someone who would take the time to put it all together.

Re: Senior Project Build
Ahhhh..... I remember when I was young and dumb. I made WAY too many mistakes like this in my life. Too much time and money into a project to only sell it off at a lost, when my whim of the moment for the project was lost.
Boy did I regret a few of those mistakes. Three of those mistakes I ended up buying the same year and model later in life. Good luck on your sale but if you don't have to sell it, put it aside and come back to it later. Years from now, you will regret it, if you sell it.

Re: Senior Project Build
I doubt that will happen. He doesn't strike me as the regretting type....I know I'm sure not. Everytime I have taken the road he's on it's been for the better...no regrets!

Re: Senior Project Build
Well I really would like to get some of the money back out, but I packed all the parts in the bed and shrink wrapped the engine and trans in preparation or storage in the shop. If it doesn't sell, maybe I will have the motivation later in life.

Re: Senior Project Build
One of the reasons for wanting to sell is that being 18 and having 4 registered and titled vehicles in my name is kinda crazy. I want to narrow it down to the daily and the motorcycle
