Are you using standard rocker arms or a custom ratio to increase your lift?

That lobe separation is a few more degrees than I would have thought being a turbo motor. But what do I know.

Can't wait to hear it. One more piece down, thousands more to go.

Great work as usual.
i am using comp rockers 1.72 ratio , and yes more pieces to go so ill keep posting one at a time to keep the excitement going !!!!! lol

Re: 1971 c10 stepside

4.8l with 1200hp stock other than twin turbos and top ring gap change??? Awesome!

Looks like I'll be looking for a 5.3 instead of a 6.0 and throw on a turbo for some streetable/reliable fun

Re: 1971 c10 stepside

well last nite i finished the air tanks department , i like to solder, heat shrink and used painless powerbraid on all the wires i lay down so its really time consuming but i love the end results , i hope you guys like the way it came out too, my pistons are going to take 3 to 4 weeks to make as they are behind , supposedly , so i will now move on to other areas on the truck and put the engine build on hold for now

Love the PowerBraid from Painless Wiring.
I wrap all my airlines in it. (like I see you did)
Very clean install.

Re: 1971 c10 stepside

1000+ HP from that 'stock' 5.3L build you were doing !?? Page 8 - Post #184.

I kinda felt like you'd have to tweak a few minorthings while you had it apart. The 'twins' are going to be sick too.

Everything you touch turns to gold my brother. Amazing work. I'm jealous.

Re: 1971 c10 stepside

Going up this weekend to start it for the first time. I have the exhaust hung (may be too low, might have to go to mid length and tuck them a little more, we'll see) I'll post a video asap.
