Wow, don't know why I don't surf the build section more. Everything looks phenomenal. Awesome job on the dash especially, it really looks amazing.

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Notice under each hoop is a plate welded to tubing which is goin to be bolted to the 1" by 2'' bed rails....rails are notched and bolted at the bedsides flush.....the 1 by 2 is tapped for bolts...for clean bolt up and allows bed to be shimmed for precise body alignment...I'm not finished with some detail adds for the hoops.(hopefully tomorrow).....the accuair bracket will be installed between the 2 front hoops above the shaft.....notice the rear hoops are welded "off center" to rear bedrail.....that's to mount the battery trays on the outside of each one....and to clear rear of tire....notice i "stepped " the plates to make clean weld on the rearend side of hoop...Brought bed to within 1" of cab....Will be way more progress tomorrow......jim

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
But before that install needed to clean shop so I took a couple pics outside 1st
time with bed on....body line close but the shimming will be easy with plate setup......

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Thats a lot of work you've done with the hoops and plates, looks like a nice way to reduce the extra weight in sheetmetal when raising the bed up.

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
And then we got Mr P's accuair bracket bolted it with plates welded to front hoops...He designed it to mount on front bed panel lower lip....I just moved 5" rearward and attached to hoops..Before u ask...It's way above the drive shaft....

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
For those of u who need to raise bed floor ...if u used hoops like I did ...the front ones can mount on the frame like the second ones back...I have the extra X-member from Mr Porterbuilt....so i set the front ones on the upper tube....whiched worked out well for mounting accuair bracket....jim

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Nice job on the decorative plates, I wouldn't call it overkill. It shows how much pride you take in your work.
