Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

You know what’s really entertaining
Selling Shortbed trucks
I’ve bought plenty more trucks than I have sold
But lately, I’ve been loosing some weight
Four down in the last few weeks
2 long beds
1 Longhorn
1 short bed

The 2 long beds went to Board members
Easy conversation, the only negotiation was me reducing the price because I wanted them to be the new caretakers of the trucks

The Longhorn got 1 phone call from a real person who wanted a real original driver.
Easy conversation, bring this much money. I will not sell it for any less. And you won’t be disappointed! Which he did....

The Shortbed. I wouldn’t even put my phone # in the ad. Told people to respond by leaving their phone #, and I will call them back.
Wow, Boy, my email caught on fire.
Every flipper, scammer and dreamer.. All at once
Offers, talkers, tire kickers and bull$hitters all rolling in.
Only one person came and looked at it the first day
And one person the last day( he bought it)
They were both cool
But the email offers, callers that waste time talking but not following up on their conversation.

That’s entertainment

The trucks, when I originally got them

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

That’s the way to look at it, as entertainment. Life’s too short to get anxiety over it. It’s the way it is these days unfortunately. Annoying. But we get to choose how it affects us! Quite a fleet, you find some good ones.

Oh boy I want to take a notoriously maintenance intensive luxury car and make it into the tow rig for my finicky high strung race car. Then every week would be a contest to see which one needed more work before the next race.

That's worth repeating, and you took the words right out of my mouth! That race car is as ugly as the car carrier. Where is the puke smiley!?

I feel honored to be a part of the “Chevyland Adventure”. I really enjoyed our visit and swapping truck stories and knowledge. I hope your first ever Sundrop quenched some of the Southern humidity!
