Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Nice '64. Looks like a C-50.
Great to see old trucks still in continuous use as mentioned. Bill

Funny you mention the brochure, I found an original one a little while back and picked it up to go with the truck. I should scan a few pictures out of it and post them. I need to find out more about the truck shows. I see the pics from those and it makes me want to attend one. Looks like some really neat stuff out there. Jonathon

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Jonathan------Noticed the wheel chock in your one left side view. That is standard souvineer along with a dash plaque when you register at a national ATHS show. They're usually branded with the date and location . I have enough to start a decent bonfire with my collection since the late '80s .

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
I'd like to have THAT collection! I've been meaning to complain about these. They don't work so good chocking a truck tire. They need to be at least a 4x4. I use 6x6 cut with a wedge. I AM just kidding, though. As it is there's a clear cut forest somewhere, a lumber shortage for the building industry, and it took 2 maxed-out semi loads to haul them to the show. I was thinking about what a pile of lumber it took to make 1,200+

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Nice old Mac Close to my house, have talked to the owner he brings it out and parks it by the road each spring so the truckers can smile as they go by.

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
I hope his tires keep holding air so he can keep up the ritual. I ove them just like this, but I also see one that will some day be a not so hard restoration

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
This picture reminds me of a truck I drive past every now and again. Its a lonely old 1960 Ford wrecker. Looks like it was driven in to its place near the road and parked some 20 odd years ago. I should snap a pic next time by and post.

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Holy Cow....that's awesome.
I sort of always wondered how they changed tires on the big equipment that runs around the rock quarries and such....I guess they use one of these.

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Looks to be about a '50 Dodge.
I've never owned one, to drive anyway, but they were cool trucks. That one looks pretty restorable to me. Bill

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Yeah you should. I should have stopped today when a passed a farm that had a 67-72 C/50 grain body out. Those old dodges make me smile, like a puppy dog. The '50s was the peak for Dodge trucks.

Here are a few random trucks I passed by and had presence of mind enough to snap a few pics of.

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
That first one is quite a picture, showing the various models. I'd love to have that snub-nose
Talk about a beautiful truck!
