I'm seriously considering that or a red jewel-tone as a nod of respect to a former member here....

Great job Gordon, but you obviously are a glutton for punishment! And you are lucky to have a supportive wife! Mine gives me nothing but **** over my project!

There's no way I would condone you even thinking of starting another thread! Just keep this one growing into your next build. Great looking truck Gordon!

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but,

Thanks guys, here's a few pics of the truck today. Last drive before putting it back in the garage for the winter before it snows:

Super sweet ride man! I love the clean look under the hood! Thanks for the pics! Make sure it gets tucked in all nice and tight for the winter.

This last pic from the other day, and then a few from today. I'm considering a different look.

Re: "The Ayatollah of Rusty Hole'a 1987 SWB 6.0 4L80E
Just go to AMP on the north side. I can't remember what brand they were but they had a good seal and were reasonably priced.
I get everything I can from them that I don't have to order from the States.

Re: "The Ayatollah of Rusty Hole'a 1987 SWB 6.0 4L80E
Brought in my new cab, got the white truck apart & building my cowl hood with heat extraction (or at least my version of what I think might work).
If it doesn't work I can always hang it on my garage wall as art! More pics coming later!

Your hood is going to look cool. I'm glad to see someone do something different than go with the standard raised cowl hood. I'm trying to come up with something for mine as well that isn't just off the shelf, design wise. I wish I had, what looks to be, a late model seat like yours.

Cut out some windows in the hood for the heat to escape & cut my screens to fit in.

Are you changing out the cab? You did a heck of a lot of work to start over!
