Thanks Strodder, if you notice you can kind of make out what's on the lap top. Your starring at it right now. I don't have cable in the shop yet, but it is coming soon. Once I trench in a cable from the house. And believe it or not I have empty drawers in the new cabinets, so I have room to expand.

Here is a still pic of the back stretch. Here is the video I had to edit out some of the bad filming. It was cold and windy out there, so the old guy didn't stay out there long. This was my second lap after getting on the track trying to warm up the tires. I ran street tires before lunch and then ran racing tires. What a difference in grip. This film was the first run after lunch. So I wasn't pushing it much the first couple of laps. I'm so thankful to the guy for filming this for me cause it's all I have. I figured out that it was operator error was the reason the in car failed. The on/off button was on the side of the unit and it slide around in the console and hit the button. I guess in hindsite I should have stabalized it. Now that I have done that, I guess I will sell the Miata now. Or try too.

Re: My 1965 build thread
Looks like fun. If you do sell it try a Vette. They call it Corvette Fever once you do.
I've have 9 Corvettes since I was 19. From 1959 to 1999. I love them. I'm with out one right now, and I need another one. There only one thing stopping me. $$,$$$.$$

The in car video would have caught some great footage. I need to quit dwelling on that and move on. Now I don't have any excuses not to work on the 65. Other than overhauling the kitchen someday soon.

Re: My 1965 build thread
The 99 I had was the worst Vette I ever had. I loved the way it looked. Must have been a Lemon though. I wouldn't mind having another one.

Re: My 1965 build thread
Got to work on the cab some tonight, finally. Got the driver side seam sealed.
While seam sealing the wire trough on the cowl, I realized the pinch weld actually came up and was nearly impossible to seam seal with what I had. In hind sight I should have smoothed that area also. At the time I didn't want too because it was just something else to slow me down. I used 3M strip caulk to pack in the area that was nearly impossible to seal with a 2 part sealer without making a big mess. It worked out really nice. I didn't take a pic cause it wouldn't show up in the pic of the area I'm describing. Also cut off and clean up the seat mounts that I tack welded in place so I could drill the holes thru the bracket and floor at the same time. I labeled them prior to removing.

Re: My 1965 build thread
Nice looking progress. Looks a lot better than what I could do. Why do they call it calk? And why do people always look at me funny when I walk around with my calk in my hand?

Re: My 1965 build thread
Allan, Yea I'm going to weld it from the windshield jam to the roof.
I said my filter is clogged, but that doesn't make sense. I should say at my age the filter is worn out. I take in all the dirt. 70 Sub, I'm also going to bend the drip rails over, and weld them too. I'll make them look like a small flare, and blend into the roof. I've never seen it done before, but should look good. I had a 48 Studebaker Truck, and there's were I got the idea from. It was that way stock and I thought it looked custom.

Re: My 1965 build thread
Man Alan I'd be happy making half the progress you are. Looks great. I did push both halves of my suburban around the shop today ( along with 2 tons of misc other crap to make room) I needed to move it up front for loading as I'm hoping to reunite the halves. I had been waiting for a part since early jan but got tired of waiting I'll just have to crawl under to install it. Miata footage cool to. I got a lil pocket HD cam from wal mart that I'm going to mount on my bike for track days. It has as good a resolution as the "motorsports" cams for 1/3rd the price
