Good luck on finishing her up! Looks like you're almost there.

Thanks Chris... Good luck with your build..

Re: Crash's 72 K10

More pics of the stainless brake lines. I ordered a set for a 71 4x4.. the only difference I can see is the rear hose block. Looks like the thread size is different between the 69 and 71. I will research and see if I need and new fitting or hose.

New transmission cooling lines, this fixed a couple of problems.

Next I decided to get the engine running again.. hearing it run is a motivator for me. I know it looks like a mess, but it only took 5 minutes to hook it all up. I let it run until the fans kicked on. Sounded great..

Got the H4 connector to finish up the headlight relay wiring…

Adapted a 72 gas pedal to the 2005 DBW module.. It looks good, we will see how it works once I get the cab back.

I am going to polish up some button head bolts and washers for the bed bolts after the liner sprayed.

Anybody need some brake and transmission cooling lines 

Also, got all the fuel lines and electrical wiring secured on the driver’s side frame. It was just lying there, thought it was time to get it ready for driving..

Next project is to rebuild the taillight harness… and add in the side marker light plug.

Next few weeks? Is he going on vacation or something?

Love the gaps on the rascal, and the filler patch really came out nice.

Re: Crash's 72 K10

Started out today with changing the oil and filter… While I had the oil drained I removed the oil level sensor and installed a plug.

Early Christmas gift…

Finished installing the new brake lines in the rear..

Couldn't leave the front out..

Also changed the spark plugs, the old plugs looked good…

You and me both, brotha! I love to see primer that has been blocked to the point it shines. It's gonna be sweet.

Re: Crash's 72 K10

One year ago yesterday was the start of this project. Over 1100 hours and a lot of cash.. (I don’t even want to talk about it)… Hopefully I will finish before summer..

Last Sunday's project was rebuilding what was left of the rear harness. Ordered some pigtails from LMC and used all new wire. I also integrated the side marker lights, and a 4 pin trailer harness.

I also painted the parking brake hardware…

Today I started on rebuilding the vent windows..

Taped up the chrome bead… Hope it works..

Paint…

Tomorrow I need to find some 5/32 rivets..

Screamin sent some paint progress pictures..

Sealed

Paint..

More Paint..

Working on getting new glass for the truck.. thinking about a smoke tint…

Re: Crash's 72 K10

Reassembled the vent widows.. It wasn’t too bad.. I used pop rivets to put it all back together.. All I need is the new vent glass.

Next I removed the window slide from the old door windows in preparation for the new glass I ordered today.

In the morning I might look into getting the old antenna cleaned up and repaired..

More pics from Kyle… He got the cab painted today..

Looks incredible…. Can’t wait to get the cab back to start final assembly…

Happy Thanksgiving to all…

Steve,

The only updates is that I ate lots of Turkey Thursday..

Friday I went over to MCbassin's and helped him with a little wiring project..

We took a break Yesterday and ran over to Kyle's and looked over the cab...WOW.. It was great.. The paint looks so deep.. Kyle thinks he will be finished with the cab and doors mid week.. so I will try to pick it up Thursday or Friday and bring him the front sheet metal..

Have a good day..
