Finished painting the rear sway bar and hardware. Replaced the 6 bolts/nuts. Ordered the end link poly bushings. Made contact to locate the bar bushings. Just waiting now.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Put L6 back together. Oil pan was leaking. Fixed it. Valve cover is leaking. Worked over for a while. Well.....I have to get a new one, it's only 41 years old and worn out. Now have to wait for it. That's enough for today.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Took her for her first mountain road trip today.
Pulled the entire road up to 5000' elevation in 4th gear, didn't even have to down shift for being behind a couple slow movers! I was thrilled with how my baby handled! I could also tell she was back in her element, being that she spent most of her life in the mountain roads.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Replaced tailgate bushings and adjusted the strikers so it would quit rattling, then I replaced the rear stabilizer bushings. Lost the rattling and squiking going down the road. Didn't realize how loud it all was. Then went to a local Cruz in. All and all it was a good day.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Yesterday I charged the battery, put 4 gallons of gas in the new tank and was thinking about putting the interior back together today. WAS going to start her for the first time in two months. Went in the garage this morning and smelled gas. Looked underneath my driver side cab corner and saw a puddle of gas. Put my hand under there and sure enough a small bubble of paint on the back of my gas tank. Needless to say I emtied the tank, removed seat, tank and carpet. Luckily I had the old tank still, so I painted it to match, and put it back in. Put some gas in it about 10 minutes agao and will put the seat in after dinner. I may even get to start her up today. A man can dream....

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
added the dome light switch to the 3rd door so now my alarm works on all 3 doors. Next will be the hood and lift gate. Also got the gas struts installed on the lift gate. They are a little too strong but hopefull they will get easier over time. I even fired up the 67 today trying to get motivated enough to work on it a little.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Persistence Pays Off!!! Got her fired up and let her run. Temp gauge isn't working but it has to be wiring. Put in a new sending unit when I had the engine out. Always something! Drove her back into the garage. It was a good day![IMG][/IMG]

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Nothin, done with my truck for a while 'til something else goes wrong/breaks/etc, the whole never ending battle thing sucks, but I love it anyways.
Now it's on to installing the 350 into my '84 Trans Am. Gotta get some gaskets, clean up some wiring and drop it in. Should have a new intake showing up from Summit tomorrow for it too. Guess I'm done with this thread for a while.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Drove the Burb to a car show/swap meet in Warsaw NY Sunday morning. Didn't find anything I had to have. Pleasant drive of about 35 miles each way through rolling hills. Burb is rattle-less now with all new door and window seals. Had to get back home by noon to go to a wedding reception.
