Re: Greg65 build thread
I had a great time talking to Alan and Shannon this past Saturday. Alan had most of the cab primered before I arrived. The Vintage Air is on the way and the oudercoating is delivered. Amazing work as always Alan. Here are a few pictures of the progress.

Re: Greg65 build thread
I also picked up some CPP 3" springs that I bought from Billy. Mabe this will correct the tire to fender gap. Here is how the frame is sitting now. I will post another picture after they are installed.

Re: Greg65 build thread
Cab is looking great, & that's a nice looking chassis/drivetrain as well! Should have a nice stance too. What drop do you have for the rear?

Re: Greg65 build thread
It is all from Early Classic Enterprises. The springs are 6" drop with a super trac bar kit and their shock relocate kit. Before the body goes back on I need to install a small c-notch.

Re: Greg65 build thread
I'm a little late getting my pictures posted from Saturday. Alan and I mocked up the a/c system to get all the attachment holes drilled before painting. The vintage air is a very nice piece. As always had a great time talking with Alan.

Re: Greg65 build thread
I guess it could be mounted higher. We used the supplied template. Vintage Air also supplies a smaller glove box which if the unit is higher this piece could not be used. Also where the lines come through the firewall could be a problem.

Re: Greg65 build thread
I'm thinking about trying this system in my truck. It measures 20x71/8x9 1/2, by my measurements and the way the outlets and hoses come out of the box I should be able to get it high enough to be completely out of sight maybe. Anyone here have experience with this product?

Re: Greg65 build thread
So, does this make the RH floor vent inoperable?
Do you need to block them off now? Or, could you mount the entire A/C unit more to the left?

Re: Greg65 build thread
A block off plate is supplied but hopefully the handle can be modified enough to be used. I wish I would have known this before having the vents powder coated.

Re: Greg65 build thread
Not a lot going on with the truck lately. Between life catching up with me and Alan hunting for the perp that kidnapped Uncle Si. Alan did send me a picture after the glide coat was applied yesterday. I did pick up another piece of wall art at a show this weekend. I've always wanted a black California tag. This one is a 1963. Maybe I can find a '65 in better condition later.

You are doing great Alan. Make that big money, mine can wait. Congrats on your trophy. I sure you had a smile from ear to ear. Well deserved.

Re: Greg65 build thread
Thanks Chad. I took auto body in high school twenty years ago but would not want to attempt getting my truck ready for paint. Good luck with your repairs . I'm sure it will look amazing when you get done with it.

Re: Greg65 build thread
My truck has been put on the back burner until after our relocation is complete. I brought it home from Alan's Saturday. This will also give me a chance to get some things completed. I'm so pleased with all the work Alan has done on the cab. Hopefully we can get started back on it this summer. Here are a few pictures of where it sits now.

Re: Greg65 build thread
Looks perfectly drivable the way it is! You have free cooling, and a cold air intake as well!
